what's going on with the 3rd party programm banns?

I have already submitted a support ticket under REQUEST #20604309

Story: I've been a player since Season 2 and have never had any issues. Yesterday, when I was in the middle of a normal game, I suddenly received message that my League of Legends client will close and that my account __ was permanently suspended for the use of malicious 3rd party programs or modifications to your League of Legends client. I have never received a warning, suspension, or even a chat restriction before. I certainly have never used any illegal programs/hacks before and am willing to do anything prove it. I'm really not sure what's happening there? And I can see so many people have the exact same situation with me at this point.

The only software that I use are:

  1. Skype (for communicating with friends) and I do not believe that would have caused the ban.
  2. Lolreplay through website na.op.gg for watching friend's games when I am too lazy to log into the client myself.
  3. Razor Synapse (for my keyboards)

Riot, if you see this, can you please tell me exactly I am being accused of? I believe this ban was done in mistake. And any people know how to solve this problem? And the RIOT support won't help, I don't know why they exist for? They just keep robotic reply and insist their opinion.

A lot of people are getting banned for 3rd party apps on their computer. Send in a ticket and resolve it with them, they will most likely give your account back. Just be polite when writing the ticket.

Thats what I've done. Heres to hoping that they actually investigate further and help me out.

You switch your summoner spell keys around a lot. This normally suggests that more than one person is playing on the account. The other person may have been using scripts. This si part of the reason you shouldn't share your account - you don't know what the other person is doing on it.

If you've ever bought an elo boost before, most elo boosting websites use scripts to win games. It is the only sure shot way for them to make money. If they lose a game, they have to waste 2x the amount of time/effort to make up for the loss. There are far too many websites out there that offer consistent wins vs the amount of people who are actually good enough AND willing to boost people legitimately. In the end, these boosting sites hire players who are "better than average" and with the aid of hacks to play like a "challenger" to get you your wins.

TL;DR: Boosters use scripts, scripts will get you banned. While it is not directly your fault as you have been lied to, you are in the end help responsible for any actions on your account. Best you can do is send in a ticket and ask RIOT to take mercy and reduce the punishment - aka punish you as someone who got a boost instead of someone who used hacks.
