Perma Banned from a bot game (Ty riot for your fantastically potent and totally fai auto-ban system)

So my alt just got permabanned after saying THE word in a bot game. I shall not say what word in particular or else I'll get banned from the forums as well, but I can assure you it is not "%%%%%%". Lucian In fact, it is more of an acronym for 3 words.

Bit of backstory: Made another account for fun, to main Yi (which in itself is a bannable offense, I gotta agree). Played a bunch of games to get to lvl 30. Barely ever flamed in norms and ranked. Everything was fine. Until I decided to have some fun with friends in a coop :) Then of course I get reported by some butthurt cuck for stealing his cs, and 5 mins after the game ends I get banned.

Now the question is, why do I get banned for saying those 3 words to a friend in a bot game, while people that flame and afk in ranked can keep doing so freely? Well the answer is simple: Riot is getting smarter with ways to lose their playerbase. Instead of manually checking reports, they allow their bots to ban anyone without warning. So innovative! I understand that as a company you need to keep yourselves up to date with the special snowflake era that we're in, but this is too much. Keep your god damn political correctness out of bot games. Who am I gonna hurt, the bots? If people, even if they're not your friends, can't handle "mean" stuff online they shouldn't be allowed to log in in the first place. And anyway, there's a mute button for that.

P.S. Love how I can spam kms anywhere I want and nothing happens, but I say kys once to a friend and poof, I can't play the fucking game anymore.

Kys is never justified or allowed.

A couple things:

  1. It doesn't matter if it's normals, ranked, bots or whatever, the rules apply to all.
  2. Even in co-op vs. ai you're still playing with real people on your team just like you do in any other mode.
  3. Playing Master Yi is not a punishable offense by itself, but having a consistently poor attitude is.
  4. From The Summoner's Code:

Enjoy Yourself, but not at Anyone Else's Expense "Short is the joy that guilty pleasure brings." -Euripides

...Remember, taking a jab at your friend in the middle of the game is a lot different than making a glib remark at a complete stranger. Someone who is unfamiliar with what you consider playful may take your comment as an attack and react unfavorably. If two players on a team start fighting, good communication and teamwork become nearly impossible. Once communication breaks down, the likelihood of victory is drastically diminished. It isn't uncommon for simple, good natured teasing to spiral out of control into a loss, so do yourself a favor and don't run the risk of sabotaging your own success.

  1. Telling someone to kill themselves normally gets a 14-day ban as the first punishment. If you got a permanent ban then it means that you already had a 14-day ban prior to this or that your behavior was severely poor enough to warrant a permaban.

If you'd like to discuss your ban then please post your entire unedited chat logs here in this thread. I will say though that your attitude in your opening post as well as your biased poll doesn't help your case here at all whatsoever.

Riot has a zero tolerance policy for encouraging self harm. This is a widely well-known fact. Even in jest and to a friend, you should have known better than to say it at all in a game of League.

That said, if you feel you were banned in error, you can submit a support ticket and have a human look at it. Bans can be overturned if they were done so in error.

I don't know that having a manual review on this one would help you. Telling someone, ANYONE to kill themselves in a video game isn't cool. That's not something to joke about. That is literally telling someone to end their life. And Riot has a zero tolerance policy towards it. So, whether the IFS reviews it, or a manual review, the result is likely to be the same. It's not allowed at all.

And... it's also kinda not cool to have a picture of Lucian after having a censored racial slur. If you want to make the point that it wasn't the N-word, that's one thing. But when you put his face there, it kinda looks like you're calling him one. And that's no bueno.

And I instantly regret posting this in the special snowflake sub-league-reddit. Wrong place to look for some common sense

Yeah it's fucked up. At least you aren't ignorant of that anymore. Good luck on your next account.
