I understand why I was banned and have my "reform" card, but I really want to know why I get an instant feed back and permaban after one game but after reporting a guy who was typing a ton of racist garbage, including the N word, doesn't get an instant feedback or a ban?
Deep Terror Nami6 votesYou won't always get feedback for your reports. If they were typing a ton of racist garbage, it is extremely likely they will be permabanned very soon if they aren't already.
SEKAI1 votesPerma bans are not handed out by instant feedback system, they are manually reviewed and given out.
Also, your reform card should attach a couple "exhibits" of your behaviour for why you're banned. You can read those.
If you believe your ban is faulty, you can send in a support ticket to ask for an appeal.

I remember being told by some of the forum mods (or Rioters can't remember) that permas are handed out manually on my region's board. Not sure what's going on there. Unless there is a difference between NA and OCE in handling methods due to the population size differences or something; or I just remembered it wrong (which, MB). Who knows.

Deep Terror Nami2 votesThey are the same, probably just a bit of miscommunication. We work with the OCE volunteers and they are pretty tight with the Rioters there, so I'll make sure they are aware of this if they are working with bad info still.
Myrmiron1 votesI believe this is the case when it's not a very cut and dry case, aka someone behaved toxic but didn't actually use any of the trigger words. When someone goes around spouting racist garbage and such it's a very easy case for the IFS.

no that's how you remember it because that's how is SHOULD be, the method used now is easily abused. For example: dude gets a lil too tilted in chat and goes of the hip with some bannable shit? Does he deserve one? No, hes just a little pissy today but that's not fun. Lets me and my buddies 4man him for giggles because we know how the system works. And that instant feedback, and the fact that hes probably done this recently due to his mood, are most likely going to give him punishment.
I literally partake in this daily and it needs to be changed.

RallerenP2 votesIn your scenario, how would a human know it was 'for giggles' better than a computer? No matter what they would have to assume it was a serious report and punish the guy accordingly. That's not because it's a computer.
Also give me a single case where the IFS banned someone wrongly, with proof (no anecdotal evidence), and I might see why a computer is worse than a human.

As stated by DTN just below, you don't always get feedback on your reports. Not saying it has to be it, but it can be.

You didn't get an instant ban. You said yourself that you came off a 14 day ban, and you probably had chat bans before that. It was your repeated behavior over a long time that got you banned. The other guy will probably skip punishment tiers for hate speech, but his punishment probably won't be instant, just like yours wasn't.

Just got banned for saying "Ban this toxic leaver trash annie" after she literally fed, said "gtg peace", and ultimately lost us the game. I'm so sick of this shit. Why can't Riot just hire people to sort through chat logs and stop giving us shit-tier automation services to hand out bans. I just lost countless hours of gameplay because of some SHITTY GARBAGE COMPUTER SERVICE.
