Int Fed and BMed over username continually

so a lot of my games people int feed and bm and grief over my username A LOT like before I say a word in champ select or anything I get "oh great some christian Fa*" or "I hope the flying potato man you worship is with this game A**hat" and they proceed to int feed my games or even say they will report me for asking them to not feed so we can have a balanced game. I don't understand why this is allowed and I am ignored when I ask for help via support but if I ask "please shove your wave before you roam he got a free tower off that" and get told "STFU YOU CHRISTAN (explicit)" and I simply mute when they say they will report me how is that fair... I am still new and want to learn myself but it is really killing my enthusiasm to play when you have a game that you do well and the next game literally the jg or even bot lane walks under the tower after minions get to feed your lane opponent over your in game name... and it really does happen a lot and felt it should be addressed I am not exaggerating or sugar coating what I say it makes me really sad that a lot of the community is like that before you can even get enough ip for champs or anything to experience the best of the game...

I don't know how to get better or learn when someone int feeds 14 times in bot lane and calls you an Rtard for dying to the the adc or something they fed cause they hat eyour name... it is ruining my experience :(

league of legends has one of the most toxic communities, your best bet is /mute all.

thank you for the info, I thought they were strongly against all that and everything got into this from friends and like it a lot now but it takes time to grind out runes and champs to even play at a good level it seems unless I am doing something wrong and it feels rough

if you wait for pre-season 8(November I think), everyone gets free runes/masteries. So focus on buying champions. The game does get better and less toxic the higher you climb, but you'll occasionally run into the angry trolls that plague this awesome game.

That 2k you spent on quints will be refunded when preseason starts, so don't worry too much about it. Just save up for champs you want, and use the lvl 2 runes that are like 1 IP each for now. Good luck climbing friend.

but I don't announce I don't say anything not like I am on a missions trip just cause my name is a verse they do that, I will just mute then I woulda chose a different ign had I know that was allowed and would happen

I guess announcing isn't exactly the right word, making even references to it, is enough to trigger people who feel strongly against religion(s). The same applies to politics too. Sorry it happened to you, but it's better to pick something neutral on the religious and political plane as a username if you want to avoid getting picked on online.

Yeah, keep in mind though that even with a more neutral name people will still flame and such for various reason, especially on league. Muting people whenever you think they say something rude enough to tilt you is a good thing to do. Sucks that those scums ruined some of your games, I hope you'll stil' get to enjoy league tho.

Props for the name. Like Mad Grimm said, it's really just the community. Really regardless of who you are they're gunna flame you. Once you climb up ranked a bit, you start to deal with older individuals/adults who don't really flame. Sorry, but you're mostly playing with kids until you hit Gold; that's not an insult to anyone. I'm still sad to hear you were flamed for your faith. You can report them for hate speech after the game ends. But hey, wear your banner proud. That's the one thing that will endure for all eternity. This message is meant only for you (on the day all will be made clear and they'll see how foolish they were. Give them some grace cause they haven't yet received Christ. So you can't really expect much teehee).

A lot of people think it's cool to hate religion. In game, had your name not been psalms w/e, they would have insulted you by telling you to get cancer or kill yourself or many other "cool" things that kids say these days. The only reason they pick on your religion is obviously because of your name, but either way they would find something to pick on if you don't play optimally every game. As you improve, it will get better, I rarely get flamed anymore, but of course I see someone get flamed practically every game, maybe every other. If you're not level 30 yet, there are a lot of Smurfs on new accounts and they can outplay you and make you look pretty bad. A lot of simpletons don't realize this, and instead will just call you garbage for being outplayed by someone who probably has much more experience.

If the religion bashing bothers you, and you don't want to walk around with a big target on your back, I recommend changing your name. Up to you, of course. I doubt you're getting "God points" for naming yourself that on a video game, anyways.

nothing bothers me... idc what people say when they intentionally ruin the game though that is different i do not care about people's opinions. None of what I said has anything to do without being outplayed or even my performance.... so not sure what you are off about or trying to change the basis of my post to.

What? I thought everything I said was pretty on topic, given the content of your post. You mentioned being new, that's why I mentioned the Smurfs and such. I feel like you think I was being passive aggressive or insulting you and I don't know why. Sorry if it came off that way. I was just trying to say it will get better in game when you level up (not sure your level, but at level 30 things get better, and I specified IN GAME), but of course there will always be edgy teens who think it's cool to hate on religion, so that will always happen. What did I say to change the basis of your post, may I ask?

IN fact, that was a bit of a snotty response, what gives dude? I was pretty damn polite and on topic while speaking generally about toxic people.

because you make it sound like I mess up and am being a child over it when I get called out people legit tower dive at 2mins in and die to int the game... I am fine with being called out or being beaten by someone better but games where the bot lane is 0/14 at 12mins and stating in game remarks at me cause of my ign was my issue. that was all. I want to lose and learn and get better just hard to when people decide in champ select to do that over a name...

Oh damn, you got it all wrong. I was talking to you as if you're a newb, not a child. There's nothing wrong with being newb, we all start somewhere. And I was saying, they would insult you in a different way if it wasn't your name. They always do. ESPECIALLY pre 30. It's tons of people smurfing on new accounts, that possibly got permabanned so now they have a chip on their shoulder, or they just think it's fun trashing new players. It's rough, I know. I've made a couple accounts well after hitting 30 on this one and it reminded me of being new because suddenly I'm getting stomped and treated like I'm new to the game. It is rough. And you said it was discouraging, so I was saying it will get better when you get better at the game, and you level up to 30. Don't take it personal. I'm a man of rationality, not emotion, so yes I'm gonna be blunt and talk to you like you're new, because you are. There's nothing wrong with that, don't be offended.

And just to remind you that I do know the topic, if your name didn't have a religious reference, they would insult you in a different way. You're not a child for being offended or for it bothering you. But try not to take it personal, because it's just people who are so simple minded they blindly insult things they do not understand. It's "cool to hate" in American society, unfortunately. I get people insulting my name, even though clearly I made it knowing it's the dumbest name I could think of. They'll always find something lol.
