Transfering And Punishments

Hey, considering this is my first board discussion ever, go easy, okay? I have a few questions hoping that someone knows answers to. First of all, my account that is on EUW currently got a 14 days ban. Completely my fault for being too salty. Now before that I have transfered from EUNE on which I had a honor level 4 and i was GOLD 5 just like now. My question is, if I transfer after the season ends, on EUNE again, will there be any rewards? Has the ban on EUW affected the EUNE account as well?

No, it doesn't. All of the regions that you can transfer to, from North America, are controlled by Riot Games and the bans will follow. Question though, how does your friend know they are going to get a permanent account suspension? Usually the account gets turned off at the same time that Riot sends the email saying the account is suspended.

If your friend is concerned about an email about being banned, or has been banned and wants to learn more about why, get them to contact Riot games directly at this link.

I’d imagine that’s still the case. You may still have the honor ranking, but the punishment will follow you and so I’d imagine you’d be ineligible for rewards.

Well, I've seen that and that's the main reason I've asked more people, there's been a lot of chatter about the bans not following and I'm clear that you don't have to be on the region to receive rewards IF eligible, which is the question here. Thanks for the quick answer though!

I’m fairly certain punishment history follows. This is especially considering the fact your rank doesn’t “follow”, but it is held in limbo in case you transfer back (as you know already). For this reason, I think the bans are probably linked across servers too, that way you can’t evade further punishments with transfers.

You may want to post this in Help & Support boards too that way you can get a better response chance from a Rioter.

Well I guess like tone of videos are complete bullshit about people evading a permanent ban through transfering accounts. Jesus have i fallen for that one.

Well I kind of asked indirectly, it just felt wrong posting this in the riot support, lmao. While you will get the season rewards on EUNE as well, if you transfer after the season ending, I am not sure now, as you can see we're unclear weather the bans follow or no.

Punishments and rewards are tied to individual accounts. If you transfer an account with a punishment history, that punishment history will follow it. A punishment on one account, however, will not affect other accounts you may have.

Well I guess that's confirmed now, but, what confuses me is, that the same account I've transfered from EUNE to EUW is still there, like op.gg, or just searching for it through league on EUNE, that's the confusing part, it almost acts like an account on its self.

Technically speaking, the EUNE account ID remains in the EUNE server's database. The contents of the EUNE account is then transferred into a new ID on EUW and the EUNE account will then be closed for access (but the data still remains on the server).

Well yeah, I've figured that out, but the real plot twist is that PROBABLY the ban will be transfered and things like honor level and queue ranks are not.

I am actually more confused about your situation.

From the sounds of it, and correct me if I'm wrong, you have 1 account on both EUW and EUNE servers?

Cos transferring accounts don't merge the two accounts together.

You'll end up with 2 accounts on EUW, one with a punishment, the other with rewards.

No, in my original question on the board, I was talking about the situation I have left my account on EUNE prior to transfering. Say what you want but the account that I have transfered is still on EUNE as well as EUW, just not accessible, which is the reason for all this confusion.

Right - that's what i mentioned below. The individual server match history both transfers and stays on the old server, whereas the honor rank, ranked placement, LP decay, etc. all do not transfer, but stay on the old server.

Basically, any time you transfer you leave behind a "ghost account", and if you ever transfer back to that server that ghost gets "reactivated" with the old stats (ranked placement, LP, honor, etc), but with the current RP, IP, champs, skins, etc.

Exactly. I have asked riot support about that 'Ghost' account, does it get the punishment the real account got or what, so I guess we'll know in a little while, I will make sure to edit the post on what ever the support answers.
