League of Legends harbor the worst community and Riot needs to address it.

I played about 400 or so ranked games and this is consistently the worst community ever if any game I ever played in my life. Why does this game attract so many ignorant people? I mean I am not talking about a couple of bad apples, I have seen verbal abuse and people with no life playing this game with the worst attitudes worst sportsmanship, I mean is this what happens when nerds dont get bullied in schools anymore??. Why is it this game that attracts such disgraceful people? Why hasn't Riot address this ugly side of their product? Blizzard doesnt have this, Playstation doesnt have this, Xbox doesnt have this. Again, I am not talking about a couple of bad apples, that is not a reason for my generalization, I am talking about League of Legends community that some way just have such ignorant waste of space people where your just like "how the f**** did natural selection not take these people out already? I dont get it and I am waiting for Riot to address this elephant in the room. What about this game that attracts these disgraceful people? Is it because its free to play?

I completely disagree. League gets a bad rap for having a terrible community, but I've seen the underbelly of a lot of really shitty communities in video games. For example, the first time I played CSGO, I was told:

  • My mother should have aborted me at birth (X3)
  • I just wish you could commit suicide already (X2)
  • I wish I could kill you like the N***** you are (X1)
  • You are a waste of oxygen (X2)
  • It's shit like you that is what's wrong with this world (X1)

This was the very first time that I tried CSGO, I have a grand total of 1.5 hours played and I haven't touched it since. XBOX I've had worse expirences. Personally, I haven't played Blizzard games much (a little HoTS but I didn't really care for it) so I can't touch on that group of people. Though I have had roomates who played WoW and have run into several players that are extremely racist/homophobic (Death to the F*** and that sort of language).

I don't think this is League specific, I think it has to do more with being anonymous on the internet. It gives the illusion that one is free from consequences of their speech.

It is not in Riot's business model to look into this. Simple as that. Years and nothing this is what it is and will always be : \

They do what they need to, to keep the community from falling apart, but anything more is not in their interest. Anything more to create a pleasant environment hurts their business. My argument? We are all still here and we are still buying RP.
