Punished for One Tricking

Hey everyone,

So I recently logged into my League account to find that I had been banned for ELO/MMR boosting. This is extremely frustrating for me because I have never purchased a boost (first of all I cant even afford a boost) or even had a higher ranked friend log in to get me to a higher rank (especially after putting in work and finally climbing to gold for that victorious skin). The punishment I have received is a 14 day ban as well as my honor being reduced to 0 and my season rewards being stripped from me. This is also a strike against me that leads up to a permanent ban.

I have been playing league for a few years now, starting in bronze and making my way to silver and finally this season I made it to gold. I had taken a long break from league during the summer (moving to college and visiting family and adjusting to college life) and finally started playing again. I found a lot of success in the mid lane with Lux and decided to one trick her so that I could make it to Gold. I was able to quickly climb from my previous silver rank up to gold and I was ecstatic. I have also continued to climb since then(up until my ban) I also play in two different locations: Johns Hopkins(my school) and Stevenson University (my boyfriends school).

I believe that my fast climbing as well as playing in (two) different locations (after having played in Germany for so long as my dad is in the military and that’s where I lived prior to college).

I have tried to submit a ticket to Riot Support in order to dispute this claim however, they only respond that their ban is not an error and that they have a plethora of evidence proving that I participated in boosting. I understand that they are not allowed to divulge information on how I became suspected/accused of Elo boosting (it would give boosters ways to avoid punishments) but I am completely innocent in this case and being punished for something which I did not do really sucks.

I hope that you guys can help make more people aware of my situation so that my case can be reopened and investigated and I may be proven innocent of boosting.

Edit: I’m not sure if related but I was able to play on really nice gaming computers at Stevenson which may cause my play style to be a bit different (very high FPS and good internet compared to my normal laptop and college internet)

But the only thing the board is now aware of is that you were banned for boosting, you argued against your ban with support, and support confirmed that the ban was not in error.

We can't see whether or not you were boosting first-hand. All people on the board can do is either trust your claims of innocence, or trust Riot's double check. In both cases it would be based on very incomplete information.

so you were silver 4 all season then all of sudden over the last month you go from silver 4 41 lp to gold 4 0 lp and during this time you have a 71 % win rate on Taliyah and a 67% win rate on Le blance and a 75% win rate on lux

it just seems fishy

Have you tried speaking to a live chat representative? Maybe you changed IP addresses while playing League for some reason, did you go on vacation?

Live chat only works from 1pm-9pm PST (daily). You might need to pick a certain kind of support ticket or the "Start live chat" button at the bottom will not appear. Be sure to be patient and polite with the support team while firmly holding your stance that you did not partake in eloboosting services or the like. Lemme know if you still have a hard time getting live chat to work, wish ya luck.

btw for anyone saying its pretty suspicious to go from a low rank to a high rank after being "hard stuck" for years and blaming this dude/dudette for "being suspicious", that's not cool. I personally didn't put >50 games in any solo ranked season other than this current season and after ~300 ranked games I managed to get to p5 from like s1 or something, even picking up jg kayn as my main from g1 up because it was easier to climb (although i did hit gold something on my other account and gold in flex on this one last season). I understand the reasoning behind wanting to question op's claims (because who knows if op is really telling the truth or not) but I think the best thing to do in this situation is have good faith and send op in the right direction. Try to be helpful instead of being apologists.

Support is rarely wrong. If you are lying, I suggest not continuing, all that can happen is an escalation of your ban.

They can totally see the location the games were played from. You aren't fooling anyone dude. They can see that some dude from Canada, or Michigan, or wherever the booster was from played those games. Dude came in here and smacked down some people for trying to sell this sob story just the other day. I hope he gets you too, you dirty booster.

Well they should be available now, just go to https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and fill out a ticket as you would normally, and if they are available you should see Live Chat next to Submit ticket

I find it super interesting that you managed to not play Lux in over a year and starting in Mid-October close to the end of the season you suddenly happened to pick her up and managed to do super well in every single ranked game thus getting you gold.
