1 report in a game is exactly as effective as 9 reports in a game. They both flag the game for review, and that's all -- more reports don't count against you any more than a single report.
If you think your ban was excessive, you're welcome to post your un-edited chat logs to this forum -- Riot has downgraded a few punishments in the past when the community agrees the punishment was too severe.
As long as you just mute them and don't talk back to them...even if you get 9 reports, nothing will happen to you because you did nothing wrong.
Yeah, so, that doesn't actually happen. 9x reports aren't weighted more than a 1x report, and if you got banned for it, I doubt you were innocent.
multiple reports from one game doesn't change anything. Still counts as one report. You must have been reported several times over many games.
