Posting this article to show how dumb this chat restriction system is. Played a ranked game, had an intentional feeder who flamed, trolled and was toxic the entire game. If i get a 0/9 troll in my game I'm going to speak up. Here's a copy of my chat which I was chat restricted for saying:

Corvienus: can u stop intenting pls? Corvienus: u gotta try real hard 2 play as bad as u do Corvienus: ur 0/5/ five mins in Corvienus: ignore her, shes toxic Corvienus: just mute if shes flaming Corvienus: shes hopeless, ignore her Corvienus: vayne fed so hard, not much we can do to stop her Corvienus: y waste peoples time on ranked? Corvienus: i dont get these types of toxic players Corvienus: u already fed so hard vayne ur lane was over Corvienus: karma was smart 2 roam to get other lanes ahead Corvienus: she left cuz ur toxic and cant play adc to save ur life Corvienus: guess u shouldn't flame then? Corvienus: no vayne u dont get 2 feed, flame and surrender Corvienus: play it out

ya im not seeing it either. must been some keyword in there riot dont like. which is dumb. I also like how its always just your portion of chat. like context means nothing to riot.

Yeah IKR, unfortunate how I can't paste the entire chat for everyone to see why I said what I said. Only said this stuff because of what was going in chat.

one of the reportable and punishable option is "negative attitude". You've shown plenty in that log.

I count MAYBE 1 line where you are neutral. The rest are either flaming, passive-aggressive, insulting, bringing your team morale down.

you got chat restricted for your negative attitude likely over many other games, not just this SAMPLE.

I don't think you'd be positive in a ranked game where your ADC goes 0/9 and intentionally threw the game into the ground because of ego issues.

Tbh, you dont need to be positive in any game. You do not need to go "gj" "nice play" etc.

You only need to be neutral to never get punished. That means dont flame, dont argue, dont attack.

That doesnt mean dont chat like some people will suggest. You simply need to only say neutral things, neither positive nor negative. It is not that difficult.

You told someone they were int'ing. Chances are this was a chat restriction built up over various reports. Telling people they're int'ing is rude and Riot's guidelines are pretty much if the community finds you unacceptable/annoying in chat and reports you then you're getting a restriction.

you gotta be kidding me.. lol for real. holey moley riot is a real piece of work. ill remember that. i been in so many games where people say that. just another reason report system is dumb. but ill keep exploiting it till the rest the community gets it.

It's my first report since I started playing this game 5 months ago. You would of done the same thing, anyone would. Anytime someone says something in chat, you could call it unacceptable/annoying. In that case whats the point of having chat? The whole reason riot is implementing this BS gestapo stuff is that they want L.O.L. to be more appealing to a wider audience. Doesn't seem like this game has a competitive aspect where you should try your hardest and work together. Seems like now it's all game just playing for fun, and if someone is mean or toxic don't speak up and just take it up the ass.

Report them after the game. That is your recourse.

This "BS gestapo stuff" as you put it is necessary because people (including yourself) haven't quite figured out that the point of your team is to win the game. If you're putting people on tilt, you are harming that goal.

Take the advice, or don't. You're the one that's going to suffer if you don't change your behavior.

Plain and simple it is necessary. In a competitive environment unsportsmanlike conduct, threatening your own team is justification enough to speak up. Good or bad there has to been negative criticism for players who intentionally throw games, start fights or mouth off. You can't honestly think that people enjoy playing with intentionally feeders, trolls toxic behavior. You can't have a goal of winning if one person decides to spoil the game for everyone. It's not me who's suffering, is the players who choose to play ranked and have to "take it up the ass". It it does is downplay the competitive aspect of the game.

I agree with you trying to keep playing till the end, but suggesting that someone is intng as your very first line of chat in a game is going to put a bad taste in their mouth.

I assume they were saying a lot of stuff back at you, but you kind of asked for it.

Also a single chat restriction is not serious. You can get that done pretty easily. Think of it as a warning to be careful.

So if someone is 0/5 five mins in, where every1 has seen this player "run it down mid" u wont care or say anything? My vayne literally trolled, intentionally fed, threatened the team, was verbally abrasive and toxic, and I get penalized for saying what I see or telling my team8s not to give up and to use the ignore button?

Your entire chat consists of berating your team (strike 1), calling for reports (strike 2), and calling them names (strike 3, you're out).

Your restriction is completely justified in this case.

if we cant have a conversation about whats going on in the game when the game is happening.. when can you? i mean if the whole point of chat is to communicate to your team, and thats what they are doing, then how is this bad. we dont have anyone else's chat but his but im sure others are saying things too and he sounds like he's trying to help pool the rest of his team to do well and ignore vayne. You're perfectly okay with having a conversation about what's going on in the game - when you're not flaming your team. Not only is this going to make them statistically less likely to win and get you reported, it's pointless noise. Nobody in the history of this game has ever suddenly started playing better from being told they're trash and toxic.

The first part isn't right. I'm a firm believer in killing them with kindness and then muting if that doesn't work. But, if you repay toxic for toxic, all you've managed to do is put another toxic player in the game, for which you will be rightfully summoner 11 ed for. You're responsible for your tox just like the other guy is.

To help your team win. If the stuff you're putting into the box isn't furthering that goal, you shouldn't type it.

If someone is being toxic you cannot ask/suggest to your team to mute/report them? this seems a bit odd to me...

Let me put it this way - what good does it do? One report is just as good as nine, so calling for reports is just pointless noise. If you want to report them, you just do it. No need to announce. Having other people report will change nothing.

Same with muting - announcing it is just harassment from the standpoint of the person you're targeting. If you want to do it, do it. You don't have to justify it to them or the rest of your team.

I mean when I have two teammates flaming Eachother non stop... I encourage them to just mute eachother and focus on the game... I didnt know that I could get reported for that though!

Never berated the whole team, only the intentional feeder who went 0/9 who flamed and complained all game. Where did I call for a report? I literally told my team8s to stop argueing with her, use the ignore button and leave her alone if she wants to "run it down mid". If someone is intentionally feeding, flaming, verbally abuses EVERYONE of course I'm going to call them toxic, that isn't name calling.

Yes, it is. The fact that you got a chat restriction for it proves it. If someone is being abusive, mute them (/mute <theirname> in the chat). You won't hear another word from them from then on.

If you're broadcasting annoyance into the chat box, you're using it wrong. All you're doing, in that case, is helping put other people on tilt.

So if a bully is mouthing off to someone or being a jerk you think it's ok to stand by be quiet and not say a word? Stand up for other people, stand up for yourself, represent yourself and the rest of your team (who still wants to win) by encouraging them to ignore them. Which is exactly what I did.

Like I said in the other thread, you'll either quit doing it or eventually get perma'd. Your choice.

If I get perma'd so be it. Unlike you I have a moral conscience and will speak out against bullys and unsportsmanlike players. You are probably one of those players who's mentality is just "Rules are rules". Just because you live or think a certain way doesn't mean other people should do it too. League of legends has a large player base, but will lose players similar to me who enjoy playing but get penalized for believing in their own morals. (standing up to bullys)

The point of this article was to show how stupid these automated player behavioral systems are. Whether you agree with me or not is your choice. That's what these forums are, areas to give an opinion/vent or w/e the person decides to share with the community.

Never asked for my penalty to be removed either. If I was spouting insults like you suck &^%*! or @#$% you! then you may have a point. The fact that all I said was "stop intenting pls" when the vayne "ran it down mid" 4 times in 5 mins after dieing once is justified. Later my team8s were arguing with the inting toxic troll I said "just ignore her". The fact I got penalized is ridiculous but hey it's a game I'll move on.

No you shouldn't have received any punishment for the chat log that your provided us with. You did break a rule with a insult or two. However, I am called %%%%, am told to "kys", and see names like penis retard 69. When all players in these instances still have active accounts, You deserve no punishment at all.
