Completely Unreasonable 14-Day Ban

EDIT I have never received any punishment from the reporting system in my 7 years of playing this game*

I was in a game where my support brand did not buy spellthiefs, constantly went aggro while missing all spells, abandoning me to roam mid with nothing only to arrive after the fighting stopped leaving me to be tower dove. As the game progressed I was 5 man dove, had my tower taken away, and was instant killed by shaco 3 times walking to my second tier turret. I had no tank to fronntline and my duo kayle could only ult one person so I was left to die. My mid anivia flamed me, then when I went top to try and farm Brand took all of the creeps saying "I don't see your name on them" setting me behind even further, then abandoning me again to let me die to shaco. This happened multiple times, and given the situation of the game I would consider it intentional griefing to deny resources to a crippled member of your team. I muted the anivia almost instantly, but I didn't mute the brand quick enough for some dumb reason. I flamed back at him, eventually muting him. Until I see an all chat form the enemy team saying "did he really say that?" to which I said that I had muted brand and anivia and asked what they had said, to which someone replied replied "racial slurs." I have the chat log that was presented to me here, you tell me where you found the racial slur and I'll shut up and take my ban. I regrettably used the word retarded at some point, and I could understand a 3-day or week chat suspension for that, but my brand and anivia LIED TO THE OTHER TEAM ABOUT ME USING RACIAL SLURS AND NOW I AM BANNED. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.

Didn't read your preamble, but looked over your chat logs. Seems completely reasonable ban to me. Especially if you're coming off of a chat restriction like you probably did.

Them lying to the enemy team doesn't matter. Hell multiple reports in one game don't matter either. Did you day anything else in post game lobby?

I'm going to get A LOT of backlash for this, but it's to be expected when people are so far gone, they lack the self-awareness of it.

Your ban is highly unreasonable OP. So is every single ban that results from a chat log. Banning players based on chat is highly, HIGHLY unethical, and is part of the reason why their playerbase is decreasing at the rate it is.

Give a player a chat ban for abusive chat? Sure!

Give a player a ban from the game for abusive chat? No.

This methodology would not work in any other game, partly due to the fact that no other developer has this system. If a player is ever abusive in chat, they get chat restrictions, NOT game restrictions. (Also, this may partly be due to Riot's free-to-play model, but they know for certain the average player spends at least 25$ in RP)

Riot is honestly so unaware of what they have done, it's ironic. Whilst trying to create a utopia of people that are never toxic, they've done the complete opposite. They've made a dystopia, for the most part. The League community is, by far, one of the most toxic gaming communities to ever exist, and yet this is partly due to Riot's mindset.

It's quite beautiful actually, in a melancholic sense. Whilst trying to make their game and playerbase better, they are slowly, and inevitably, killing it..

TL;DR Riot is killing their game, and it's sad, because it's such a milestone in my gaming career. But alas, all good things must come to an end. Rest in Peace
