League of legends the only game where you get perma banned for what you say but not for what you do in game. Truly shocks me that I cant type any type of insult IN A VIDEO GAME on the INTERNET where trash talking is normal. I could see you guys banning somebody for running it mid and just straight up not trying, but trash talking is a part of the internet. Instead of just 14 day banning then perma banning people how about you guys encourage the usage of that little block button that is in the game to mute other players so they cant see what they type! No I guess perma banning people is just more easier. Like I swear they don't even use their brains anymore. It's like saying cyber-bullying is real. Its fucking not. Cry babies.

Trash talking is a part of video games it always has been, banning people for that over people who actual impact the VIDEO GAME negatively is just plain out stupid. Chat should have nothing to do with someone getting banned or not unless it is evidence of them trolling. I think you people forget that this a fucking video game not real life you don't have to take everything on the internet so serious. Especially when you are not forced to see what people are saying.

No, a feeder gets an instant 14 day ban. No chat restrictions. Just moving straight up towards permaban.

And I don't really care what gender wants to identify themselves as, as long as it doesn't get in the way of my personal freedom. And yea. Cyberbullying is real. Is it possibly overstated? Sure.

Uh, just because it's been a frequent part of something doesn't make it good. For instance, drugs were massively popular and distributed throughout the '20s and '30s. I'm pretty sure that doesn't make it okay to do drugs.

Yeah sure, this is a video game, not real life. Guess who are the ones playing said game though? Real people. In said real life. Ever thought of that? And just because someone can mute doesn't mean they should have to, because you shouldn't be saying anything that requires you to be muted in the first place.

Cyber Bullying is definitely real, and I can tell by your demeanor you're one of them. But more than that, it's not even that its rude to say all of that stuff, they CLEARLY state that it is against the rules. Yet you did it anyway. It doesn't matter the circumstances. They could say its against the rules to mention eating cake and if you did that you'd get reprimanded because you agreed to abide by the rules when you decided to play the game.

Like I said there is a block button for a reason the fact that there is people intentionally feeding and not getting banned but people who just trash talk get perma banned is an issue.

So to avoid cyber bullying you just never use an electronic device or go on the internet ever again? That's not a fair statement to make at all. While I agree that you do have the tools to avoid, ceasing to use electronics and the internet is not a valid solution and doesn't mean that cyber bullying doesn't exist. Cyber bullying can happen, for instance, over the telephone. If someone gives out your number to a bunch of people and tells them to call and text you nasty things all hours of the day, that's STILL cyber bullying. If you have a Facebook account to keep in touch with friends and family and someone tells random people to message you nasty things and comment nasty things on your pictures... that is cyber bullying. Sure you can block them, but that doesn't prevent them from giving your info out to other people or making a second account. Even with all the tools to prevent someone from contacting you... the only fool proof way to avoid everything is to literally never go on any form of of electronic device or anything that can access the internet. Which is not a solution at all.

If you don't believe people SHOULD be offended by words online is different to whether or not they ARE. People commit suicide due to cases of cyber bullying and EVEN IF you don't agree with their methods, they did it as a result of online interaction. For this reason alone, people should be more considerate.

Also, do you believe words in real life should not hurt either? Would you say "Oh, just ignore the person speaking to you and run away from them. They're just words after all!"?

It is different because in real life you face an actual physical threat you dimwit. Like I said before there is a very high chance that most of the people you meet on this game you will never see in real life. There is legit no threat at all talking to someone over a computer. If you kill yourself because you care what a person you will never meet in your life thinks you honestly deserve to die then and it is your choice. Walk away from the computer or turn it off you are not forced to see what others say about you on the internet. Big fucking whoop you got insulted over the internet, nothing else new, get the fuck over it.

I said REGARDLESS of whether you think they are right in committing suicide as a result of something you say, do you not think you should simply NOT do it in the first place to prevent someone from possibly DYING? In the same way, people get hurt by words over the internet, even if you don't want them to. That is what these words are meant for. You should decide whether or not to do something not depending on how you WANT people to react, but how people DO react.

Cyberbullying is more than offensive words and slurs against someone for their racial, religious, or gender identity. It can have real-world repercussions that can haunt you for years to come.

In middle school, right around the time Facebook was becoming popular (almost 10 years ago now), someone took the time to create a fake facebook profile under my name, using my picture. They started posting inflammatory comments and a significant number of racial slurs by using my identity. Had I not found out the page existed, then successfully filed reports to both Facebook and the police to have them open an identity theft investigation (and eventually take it down), I can almost guarantee that the account would still be active, and that my name would be absolutely ruined as a respectable member of society. I would never have gotten into the university where I currently study, and I would likely be unemployable because of a "prank" someone decided they wanted to play on me nearly ten years ago.

Your digital footprint is not something you can just "walk away from."
