premade troll queues abusing auto feed back report system

ShroomPlugTeemo·3/20/2018, 5:11:48 AM·2 votes·1,142 views

i got placed in a premade team of 3 or 4 trolls. They kept spamming in all chat to report me. One of them was even making up things like i was saying n word and calling them homophobic slurs. One of them even admitted to me after the game that they have a very high success rate abusing the report system and do it every game cus its funny. These guys are going around banning innocent players while they roam free.

is there any riot employing willing to look into our chat logs? i would love to actually see some justice for once.

Lol ignore it. What a buncha dolts. You can't be punished for something you didn't do. Let them spam report calls, and just report them after the game. Don't be dumb and get baited into flaming them. Just roll your eyes, play, and report after game. What they're doing IS punishable, in case you didn't know. And Riot doesn't just punish based on whether you were reported or not. The report has to have validity. Also, they're lying to you. They cant really know if they're getting people's accounts punished. That's practically why Riot doesn't tell you other people's account status. They were just trying to tilt and bait you, which is punishable so I hope you reported them. If you did, your job is done. Delete thread, move on with your life.

Lol just gotta stress "one of them even admitted to me..", they didn't ADMIT anything, they were lying and saying things to make you mad. Stop being so gullible on the internet.

Edit: sorry for the dickish tone, I just can't believe people fall for these things. I gotta be more understanding, sorry.

That is not how it works. It doesn't matter what they accuse you of or what they tell the enemy team what you said if you are actually innocent and didn't write anything bad. What they meant with having a high success rate is baiting people into raging and then getting them banned for their chat. You can not get banned for something you didn't say.

Also 1 report counts as many as multiple ones, it does not matter if 1 person or 9 report you.

If you got banned then probably because you retaliated in an insulting way. Feel free to post us your chat log so we can tell you what did get you banned.

The community has already looked at your chat logs, and the consensus is that your punishment was merited, despite your denial thereof. I'm fairly certain that even if a Rioter reviewed your punishment, they'd leave the ban in place.

You made two statements in that post (after I had deigned to leave it) that I want to address now (note; these responses I'm pulling are from the OP to various other players, myself included):

UHHH NO. cmon buddy what dont you understand about the automatic feed back system? this is old news. you get judged by the system if you get multiple reports in a single game. thats why im so pissed off. cus i now know they are abusing this shit and getting off. i suffer the consequence and people claim justice is served.

You don't seem to understand the IFS yourself. You get judged by the system if you get at least one report in a single game. And that one report (barring any potential notes or report categories from other reports) is all that's taken into account for a given review. Any reports past the first are disregarded.

The IFS is not easily abused, unless of course the victims of report abuse are particularly gullible. That's why when people start making false claims about you in any chat, whether it's /team or /all, you ignore them. Mute them, report them post-game for Verbal abuse, and move on. Do not validate their claims.

ok just reread the rules and apparently i didnt even break a single rule game 3. this is actually hilarious how you guys dont know the rules but say i get banned for them

First of all, I'm inclined to believe that those of us who have yet to ever be punished may know the rules a little more thoroughly than you do.

Second; what rules did you "re-read"? Was it the Terms of Use?

5.1. Can I troll, flame, threaten or harass people while using the Riot Services? (No. If you do, you might get banned.)

Which warns against harassing and threatening other players? Both of which you did in Game 3 of your chat logs - mind.

Or was it the Summoner's Code?

4 - Enjoy Yourself, but not at Anyone Else's Expense

Which tells you not to take joy at another person's expense?

To pull from the other thread, this is the entirety of your chat log from Game 3;

Game 3 ShroomPlugTeemo: report ryze ShroomPlugTeemo: i see no support ShroomPlugTeemo: and i called mid ShroomPlugTeemo: muted ShroomPlugTeemo: muted ShroomPlugTeemo: im recording the chat lol ShroomPlugTeemo: w/e u say ShroomPlugTeemo: ez ShroomPlugTeemo: renk the only reason i havent muted you is cus im getting you banned ShroomPlugTeemo: just adding more fuel to your fire ShroomPlugTeemo: i hope u didnt pay for that skin lol ShroomPlugTeemo: gg

I italicized the lines that break the rules according to the Terms of Use, and bolded the lines that break the rules according to the Summoner's Code.

You threatened another player with punishment/reports (against the rules), and then took petty satisfaction from levelling that threat against them, on top of the potential of them being punished. (also against the rules).

Whether you think you did or not, you broke the rules, and your account was punished accordingly.

To pull another quote of yours from the initial thread;

the trolls end up winning.

They may have, but you are the only one who let them win. Next time, don't feed the trolls.

The only way that works is if you say/do something reportable, report the entire team and move on

premades can't abuse the system if you don't do anything wrong...

It doesn't matter how many people report you. Riot has made it crystal clear over the years since the initial release of the IFS that the number of reports is irrelevant. A report against a player simply flags a game for review by the IFS. 3,4 or even 9 reports only flags the game ONCE, and the IFS reviews the game ONCE. The IFS looks for your behavior only. If you find some of their behavior or chat troubling, by reporting them, you flag their behavior for review. There is no weight to the system. The report you give them counts as much as the one they gave you. If they are receiving notifications that players are getting banned, it is because the other players have earned it by their behavior too. It's not fair that they keep entrapping players, and I don't believe anyone here would agree with their behavior. They will receive justice. It catches up to them eventually. Its just important not to retaliate and put yourself in a position to receive punishment.

Have a nice day, [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Once you reported them your involvement in their behaviior ended. Riot will not discuss otber peoples punishments with you. You are solely responsible for your actions and you can only discusss what happens on yohr account
