Over the last 3 weeks of playing I have found myself unable to enjoy a game in any mode. While the gameplay is fine, one big issue has stuck out to me: Toxicity.

Ive played for years now, and I cannot recall a time where I have encountered such terrible attitudes. There's no discussion, no communication, between players. There's no acknowledgements of a well executed play. Teamwork is something of a myth at this point. I have been in games where one misplay caused the whole team to just devolve into blaming each other, spouting off vile, hateful things to each other and throwing any chance of enjoy the game out the window.

Half of my attempts at diffusing situations lead to nothing. Last year, I could talk to teammates, diffuse toxic situations, claw back wins from the edge. Now? Now I find myself getting too tilted by half of these games to even focus. I can't be the only one feeling that there has been a rise in toxicity.

I boot the game up and log in only to stare at the client and ask if i really want to throw 20-45 minutes away doing something I don't enjoy.

I just had to vent this out before stepping away from the game.

this is why we need in game coms so there is forced communication and there would be less toxicity cuz most people wont say what they can type, especially if it runs the risk of everyone going "lol what is that voice, are you 10?"

There is No communication because there is no real point. Doesnt matter what you say, if you are getting focused or harrassed? if you see the enemy circling dragon. Players on this game only care about THEIR OWN KDA, nothing else. But If someone tries to bring up even the most VALID point. They will immediately get shot down and dismissed. (Stfu dude, ur 0/X" "Dude u just suk" "ur trash" "ur >insert role<, you dont get to talk") People are so full of themselves, every player thinks THEY are the best player in the world, its the world champ finals (every match = LCS Finals), and because of thier "skill" (in thier own mind) they are free to talk down to, degrade, insult, and berate the rest of thier team. Even in ranked I am constantly seeing this "1v1 me bruh" or "u suk, u cant even 1v1". ON A TEAM-BASED GAME. Its no longer about winning, No longer about working together. Its all about who can "Solo carry" as opposed to "Team Carry" Who has the most kills, who can get the most bragging rights. Who can stab thier team in the back for kills and climb that corpse-ladder.

THIS is what League is being reduced to. A bunch of toddlers with heavily over-inflated egos that dont care about the TEAM aspect of a Moba. They just want to turn it into a clone of Call of duty free for all. So they can fight over who has "most kills, bruh"

Rarely if ever do I see a team willing to work together, its mostly spoiled kids who will flame anyone who doesnt play at a plat level, even in BRONZE

That's always been a problem, but nothing like it is now. It noticeably began rising when riot started shoving the game into the 'sport' spotlight, strange isn't it?
