Getting reported by team for having an unfair match up.

I recently played a game, and this is not the first time its happened, where i was playing top Garen. My match was against a top teemo. I knew it would be bad and asked for help. My team wouldnt not. I died 2x before i said im not going top someone switch. No one answered so i just desided if i left top someone would go there. It worked but the whole time they said they were going to report me. Now i dont know if they did because we ended up winning, and i think my decision to leave top before feeding teemo was part of the reason. How does this reporting work in these regards. Also as a side note i swear. A lot. But not at my teammates. like if i die its a habit to type a quick swear, something i picked up from 16 years of counter strike games. Is this affecting me getting keys or is there another reason why. Is there a way to find out? If i i am getting cases i should be good thou right. Well either way i will try to not swear so much if thats a thing in this game.

p.s. if satan is a swear then jesus should be too, but thats for another thread.

you don't get punished based on report counts. One report within a game is good enough to flag the system to check for toxicity, and multiple reports basically all ask the system the same question (and the system will return the same answer).

The system is capable of filtering out false reports, so don't worry getting reported if you didn't do anything wrong.

However, if you've been toxic (at others), then you've just validated their reports. Since we can't see your chat, we don't know if those reports were considered valid or not.

Hey just a general tip... as Garen top against teemo, you win mid game. Just don't feed him early, get some MR, and go in take him down halfway, back up, heal up with your passive, go back in and finish him off. The sheer massive difference in health means you beat teemo. There's nothing he can do to stop you after you get a visage, unless you just let him poke you and you don't retaliate. There's literally no way teemo beats Garen. That's fucked up that you call it an unfair match up.

The reason they reported you is because you essentially opened lane. That's why people say "open mid" ... it means they gave up and are letting their lane opponent win. To the outside observer, that's basically what you did. You still tried to win the game and do other things though, so I doubt you'll get punished, but I don't hold it against them for reporting you.

Your problem is that you left lane without positive communication with your team. This is considered abandoning your assigned lane and is a reportable and punishable offense.

If this was the first time doing it, you likely will not get banned/warned. Just don't make it a habit, and try not to do it.

A side note - Communication is not a one way street. If your communication is in a way that people do not want to answer, it's not effective. If nobody's answering your communication, you must act as if they did not see it. Don't potentially throw a game away because "well I said I was going to do this in chat so team should've made it happen". It's up to you and you alone to make the game winnable, so try your hardest to do that.
