There is a problem at Riot, banned for something I didn't do...

Let me start by saying I love Riot and I love League of Legends, it's always been my favorite game. But a few days ago my account, that I've put a lot of time and money into, was permanently banned for 'scripting'. Something I've never done. This is the explanation I got:

Tuesday at 18:09 Hello there,

The account in question was banned for the use of scripts. I hope you can see why it would be unsatisfying and frustrating to play against other players who are using a tool to tamper with the gameplay experience. We took action to protect the fairness and integrity of the Fields of Justice.

We have explained the context of your suspension, will not remove or modify it, and consider the matter closed.

Radkus Player Support Specialist "Who needs a map?"

Radkus was 100% sure: "Permanent suspensions aren't issued until we are very confident with the decision. As I've mentioned before we have thoroughly investigated and identified this account for the use . I can confirm to you that we have done deep investigation and there was no mistake in the decision taken."

So there are two problems I'd appreciate help with.

  1. Why my account has been banned for something I've never done, or even contemplated doing.
  2. How many other people are falling victim to permanent bans that are completely baseless. If it's happened to me it's happened to other people.

If someone could look into this problem I'd be very grateful. I know for a fact (because I know I've never scripted) that if someone were to look into this matter they would find an error. Looking at my games, or a simple replay of the game in question, it would be so obvious and if someone assisted in this situation they would not only assist me but also other players facing the same problem.

Changing flash once to try it, then changing it back, ok. Changing flash back and forth over many games? Highly unlikely, like near improbable.

You can always respond back to the ticket for more info. Not sure how much info they'll give though.

Not saying you did the following, but in case this helps, there are multiple things that fall into the "scripts" box including:

-using scripts during games -getting eloboosted and that person uses scripts because it's easier for them to win that way -buying an account (bought accounts are often leveled to 30 using scripts) -setting up macros (one button press that does a bunch of stuff for you in the right order -using a third-party program (like a skin-mod or viewer) that can have a malicious script running in the background

The chance of a false positive is very low. Are you using cheats for other games? Is someone else using your computer who would cheat.

It is usually more likely that people making these sorts of posts are lying than Riot being wrong.

Nope. I don't cheat on games, I barely play games. I wouldn't be making this post if I wasn't 100% sure I never scripted. Therefore I'm 100% sure an error has been made and just want it investigated.

Riot has proof, but due to security reason they dont provide it. So those script makers wouldnt have easier time going around detection. But you can easily see OPs suspicious activities through his match history.

You were using Flash on F for years. IN all game modes. Then suddenly there are some games where flash suddenly changes position to D. Which is obvious sign of multiple people playing on same account. Since you claim you didnt use scripts, then person you are sharing account with used them.

Now think about it: I saw that immediately after opening match history, in a second. Imagine what kind of info Riot has who has login logs, IP checks and stuff like that.

I changed flash to D because I saw better players put it on D so they could press it faster.

I got a new ISP recently, so my IP would have changed.

If Riot added that together and implied that therefore I MUST be account sharing then whoever appraised the account has incredibly poor critical thinking skills. Account sharing, as I have clearly explained, is not the only conclusion to draw from the above facts. Inferring such would be, frankly, stupid.

In any case, account sharing is not what I've been banned for. I have never accounted shared. I've been banned for scripting, which I've also never done.

I changed it back because I didn't like it on D BECAUSE I WAS USED TO IT ON F. Jesus man these can't be the paper thin reasons Riot would ban someone over? What do you mean it isn't the first time I did 'that'?

Your flash constantly changes positions. Thats obvious sign of account sharing.

There are many long periods where you keep flash on F, so im sure thats what you use. Then suddenly some games in between with flash on D.

I believe that YOU didnt use cheats. Im sure you wouldnt with 4 years old account and so many games player. But i guarantee you, person that played on it, who uses flash on D did. Or his PC is corrupted. Talk to him. Riot will never revoke bans for scripting.

Final note: I didnt issue your ban, i didnt affect your ban, i cant remove your ban, Nothing i wrote here affects your ban. No point in arguing it with me. Argue with support if you want. In my eyes your account isnt innocent. But my opinion doesnt matter.

That is a completely irrational inference to draw. I suppose that if I play Vi for a month building Tforce every game and do badly and then play Vi the next month and build black clever every game and do well, that is CLEAR evidence of account sharing? If one month I play with locked camera and the next unlocked? There is no other explanation for turning color blind mode on and off than sharing my account with someone who is color blind? I can account for every single game on the account, I PLAYED every single game and remember playing them. Your reasoning is paper thin. I am innocent in this situation.

Different summoner spells keys is a VERY big change compared to changing builds.

Flash is the one single summoner spell/keystroke you use in 99% of all your games above all other items, abilities, summoner spells, etc.

When you play enough games, it is not an easy thing to constantly swapping its key map around or simply explain away.

To be fair, I just let flash fall wherever it does.

But do you change it first next game on same champion? Do you finish game, few hours later join another, pick same champion and on purpose change positions for next couple of games, then tomorrow u change it back?

I haven't looked at your case (or match history), but usually when I see something like this it's when people pay boosters. Almost all boosters use scripts.

Can you please look into the case. I'm making this post and kicking up a fuss because I know an error must have been made. I know I haven't paid a booster or used scripts. I can account for every single game in my match history.

Also - can I add Tantram that the idea I'm boosting is contradicted by the simple fact I haven't played a rank game on the accounts in months. All I played was URF/Aram/Blood Moon and the occasional normal.

Nope.

Perhaps you , yourself, didnt use scripts. But that guy you are sharing account with was using them. Talk to that person. Also sharing account is against rules.

I just checked your account. Theres no way youre using scripts... no offence but but a scripter wouldn't die as much as you have. Plus, you don`t even have any normal/ranked games in your current match history on op.gg. Its just blood moon, urf, and ARAM. So like... wtf?

Exactly. The hilarious thing about this is that I don't even play ranked and I suck at the game. I'm hard stuck silver and go negative all the time. So yea... Riot messed up. What can I do though?

Hope this post gets some traction, or maybe try reaching out to riot support on twitter? Those guys are really helpful

Doubt it. Hes asking for proof, which means hes not scared of them finding anything either because hes: 1 really good at hiding it or 2: there isnt any and riot is just fucking this guy over and isnt willing to admit it

Or he's asking for proof to get better at hiding it. Or he's simply abusing the fact that Riot won't share proof to make people dislike Riot. People even occasionally tell lies about things that every player on the forum can easily falsify.

There was once a guy who has been lying about not using drophack for over a hundred pages (old forum), only to come clean about a year later.

People can get really emotional when they get a really old account with sentimental value banned. And emotional people are prone to irrational behaviour. And that is an option that is easy to miss when you only look at rational reasons why people would do or say certain things after being banned.

Scripters who are blatantly caught have made posts like this on the forums before, whether they're lying in hopes they can get their account back, to try and make people mad at Riot, or because scripters are trying to figure out how Riot can detect the scripts to better hide them is up for debate. Regardless, there are plenty of reasons for bystanders to not bother jumping to the defense of a banned account.

Most boosters (good ones) keep their match scores close to the owner of said account to rise as little suspicion as possible. I've been playing this game for far too long and I'm telling you, I've tried to play with flash on F like 5 times didn't liked it and I haven't moved my Flash from D since.

So I don't buy the "experimentation" excuse. Plus, it doesn't matter if his match history doesn't involve a lot fo ranked matches, if you tamper with a game, it doesn't matter in which mode you tamper cause you are just breaking the TOS/EULA so, yeah.

I think those macros that spam chat or pings faster than possible are bannable for scripts
