I don't want to complain but I feel so bad for buying skins in this game i wish i can rewind to 2012 and have told myself no don't do it theywilloneday create a crafting system and you will get to save all that money you are going to spend but its just too late....and the game has got to the point to where i want to quit but i spent soooooo much on it that it hurts to quit plus the few friends i've made is not so bad I don't know maybe i just need a break.
If you are tied to the game solely due to the money and time invested into an account, just ignore it and quit right now. That time and money will never be returned, and staying longer will only increase that investment.
If you want to stay connected with your friends, try to connect with them through Curse App, Discord etc. or other games and platforms or social media. You might also use the LoL mobile app if you have iOS or Android.
You might just need a break. It's not really good to stick with it consistently; stepping back for a while occasionally refreshes the game for you. You can leave for as long as you like and your account will still be here when you come back (though I suggest logging in to make sure nobody hacked it, and to maintain your activity to keep the summoner name).
May i ask what you think you invested? i mean calculate that over 4 years, was it much per month?
Anyways you should take a break for some months, play hearthstone or overwatch / d3 new season ;) at some point league makes fun again.
if you aren't enjoying the game, you'll just be salty playing it more.

Pretty much the same exact thing for me but I just got banned today been playing sense 2012 (S2) and spent so much money too now I just got banned permanently :/
