I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like the meta is also changing the player's mentality

What I want to say is that with this current meta, where fights barely last half a minute or a minute at best (most of the time), where you can get one shotted pretty easily or get taken down in seconds while barely being able to sometimes even react, players give up soo fast, like without even thinking or realising that they still have a very good chance to actually win the game.

Lemme explain. I've been playing this game since the end of S1 / beggining of S2 and yes, I'm not the brightest player or the most skilled or something, but this is not about this. It's just that I think I have never seen a period like this, where people give up so fast before even the 10 minute mark and what I mean by this is that, if a certain lane already died like 2-3 times (especially the bot lane atm), 80% of the time, they're like "aight, x lane open" "ff 15, no chance" "ok, i'm afk, can't win this, ff" "this is lost, i troll"

Like, I swear to god, in the last 2-3 months, for real, I had so many people just straight out afk because they lost their lane and thought it was lost for good, although they could've tried to get back in the game just by being a little more careful and patient, or try to ff and sometimes if it didn't go through they would even start inting or anything close it just to force an ff or make the game end faster. Also, there were cases even when every other lane would be doing just fine or excellent, again, if one lane lost, they just afk, troll of int. feed, because in their minds, somehow, if they are not the ones doing well, then the others shouldn't be doing well or win the game.

Now, don't get me wrong, trolls/afkers, they have always been around, I'm not denying that, but not like now, I mean, even in higher leagues. Since I started playing, I was usually gold, last season got plat for the first time and this season too. Usually, when the new season began, I would usually start in low Silver, 5 or 4, and climb up from there and I must admit, people from Silver and Gold, even if sometimes their skills or playstyle wouldn't be the best, they wouldn't give up that easy, like even when they would be behind by a lot, they would still try to come back.

I mentioned earlier something about players now not having patience and I personally think this is true. A lot of people are going by this mentality, go ALL IN at the beggining of the game, doesn't matter if you'll probably die 3-4 times in a row in just 8-10 minutes, if you succed you just stomp the enemy, if not you get stomped and then "ok, this is lost, ff 15" and like I said, sometimes they just afk or start trolling to force the surrender. Even if you have a team comp that scales very nice in the late, they don't even want to wait 10 minutes where they could just farm, get 1-2 core items, try not to fight, defend and wait for the right opportunity to get back in the game.

Again, what I'm trying to point out or put it in the light, is related to the player's mentality, the way they think and play, not that X role is broken, Y champion is broken or that Z item is broken. No, there is already enough complaining going on about this aspect of the game and this is how it always has been and will be, doesn't matter what meta is going on, what will be OP or not, people will always complain about anything possible because nothing will ever be perfect, maybe good or close to perfect, but never perfect, you just can't make everyone happy.

I think this statement is so true. Riot can make balance updates all they want, test them on PBE all they want, but they're never going to get all of the data on all of the possible game outcomes on the live server. So they then make more balance changes, and then this item doesn't work as good, or this combination works too well.. It'll never be a perfect game, hence why patches consistently for 7 seasons.

People in League (lower ELOs mainly) don't have the patience anymore to sit back, poke, farm, and wait for longer fights to happen that show just how balanced things really are. Riot doesn't try and balance for the oneshot capability - it's supposed to be the player knowing "hey, I'm against a karma, she could easily kill me in about 4 seconds if she's off cooldowns and is a tad bit ahead, maybe I should play back".

And people make such a big deal about losing lane now, when laning is less than half the game. Stick it out, stop trying to surrender, and at least wait for two good teamfights before you decide the game's over. Composition matters late game - high CC, high tank and you have a decent chance at a comeback.

they're losers. they don't know the meaning of stopping to be an idiot and farm safe. doesn't matter if you're 0/5 if you manage to get 250 creep. Even if my teamate don4t play well in the game, as long as they don't give up, the game is worth playing. The "ff15" just make me want to punch them in their face.

Its because of how fast certain champs in comps just snowball so hard and your team not having what it needs to deal with it when it happens. CC is mainly the biggest problem facing league I don't care how much cleans, qss, you have the investment and rate that CC can just be reapplied now is rediculious. The stacking CC changes from season 4 are the biggest issue. People are just counter picking and hard counters are harder then before. Let's say you are top lane and you are forced to defensively itemize against AD or worse AP poke. Then you are just trying to survive lane and 1 or 2 other lanes snowball out but are doing a different type of damage then you've been buying defense from. You not only can't do damage you also can't help because it's probably something that you will just be burst down on in a blink of an eye. That's it, snowball shit is all over this game you just add anyone on their team spamming someone CC in there you stand in place for 10 seconds and die, it's not fun. You can just have items to magically free you from the CC and you still don't have any damage. High bust AP comps with CC are just cancer I don't care what items you buy defensively damage from AP gives zero fucks, most AP burn/melt DMG will last into your next game. AP DMG items always have added effect and stack that with the mega cancer RNG Thunderbirds half the time I can't even fully understand what of the DMG deleted me off the screen. This has never been League of Legends when it was great everything about fights are not fun, things players do to cheese and win are just all in the Anti-fun zone. Remember you removed Talons silence because it was "Anti-fun", have you guys at Riot seen what you've put in the game? There is no trade it's just burst and dead. There is also something seriously wrong with the experience distribution between lanes and jungle. I don't know how many games I've been up CS on my laner and have a kill and yet a lower level then them. Or lvl 1 have a lvl 2 jungler show up, how is that not Anti-fun when pre level 3 the entire game is erupting into some thunderlords kill fest. More importance needs to be put back into CS so people cant just kill lane cheese like almost every game now. There is so much else wrong with this game and why it's actual cancer and why everyone is on edge with this shit but what's the point when wizard dickriders from Blizzard are all up in our shit now.
