Hello ! Four days ago I got banned for verbal abuse or toxicity (or both?) for 14-days (never got banned in 2 years before this). Sadly, it looks like I've only been 5-man reported this game (they only talked about this one game and showed the chat log) for saying things like "You're mastery 6 Lux and you almost can't land your spells correctly, why are you still popping your mastery emote ? omg" to other 5-man French premade players. (I must admit I've been stupid this time.) I almost never get mad at my allies or enemies while playing and I mute a lot, so I'm still pretty sad I got banned for this one game. I think one of the others reasons I got banned is because I also talk French in chat (I'm in the EUW server) and people think I'm flaming or insulting them, even when I'm not ? Or French people just have a bad reputation, I don't know?

When we are banned, we lose our Honor (I was 5) and every loots / ranked/honor rewards for the end of the year unless we get back our honor for being nice and friendly however, on the "2017 Ranked Rewards Egibility" page that came out today (I guess?), it says that if we get banned for more than 8 days from 8/22/17, we are ineligible for this year's rewards.

So my question is: even if I got banned after 8/22 for more than 8 days, if I get back my honor 5 and I manage to grind gold, do I get the ranked rewards?

No, your punishment will make you ineligible for any ranked rewards for this season.

I can’t comment on the validity of your punishment as you don’t seem to have ever posted your chat logs. Please know though that the number of people reporting you does not impact the chance of punishment, nor the level of punishment you receive. Both of those things are based solely on your behavior, which is reviewed if at least one person reported, and at that time is reviewed the same regardless of how many reports you got.

I'm going to post the chat log but does it mind if it's in french? since i'm french and i talked to french (and one english person I guess?) people

I won’t be able to offer more than a google translate analysis of it most likely, but you should still post it as I’m sure someone speaks French here :)

Further, it’s not punishable to simply talk in another language. The system is multilingual and can detect toxicity or not in many languages, not just English.

Most likely you got hit for the “kys” in your chat which 99.99999% of the time means “kill yourself”. Riot has zero tolerance for suggesting others commit suicide.

If there’s some other meaning for this in French (I know there’s actually a dutch word kys which means kiss) that I’m unaware of, I’d love to know. If there is, you may have a chance to get the suspension removed (I didn’t look at the rest of the logs) or reduced.

We usually use kys to say something like "**** off, shut up" but I am aware it means something related to suggesting suicide so in anyways I deserve something EDIT : and no, "kys" means nothing in French

Yeah :/ if all you had said was something like “fuck off” or “shut up”, you probably wouldn’t have been punished for using that once. But since you used a phrase suggesting suicide, it crossed a different line.

Okay, no problem, still surprised bans are only coming after the 8/22 line for saying "kys", I've seen a lot of persons saying this without getting banned :s

Last last last last question I just thought about.. xDDD : So, if I manage to get my honor back by playing well (and then my honor rewards) but not my ranked rewards even if I get gold because I recently got banned, is there still a way I can get this year's Victorious skin (or next year's) or is it locked forever now?

Sorry to say but your season rewards including the border, skin, and any other rewards Riot decides to throw at people will not be available for this season ever. You simply won’t unlock them at the end of the season when everyone else does, and once that time passes it’s not possible to earn them again.
