I qued up in a normal game and i was autofilled support. New to this...so i said hey i might not do well i wouldnt like to play it. My teamtes were upset....so i said ok ill take support. In picking the jungler took support and i wasnt sure how to go about this so i picked a comfortable champ and ran with it. I went to go support and the 2 players flipped out on me. So i jungled without smite...then at the end of the game 3 ppl wanted to report me! i didnt say anything all game. Just used pings and muted just in case. Ive had 1 chat ban and try to do right ever since. Im worried about my account....will i get banned for misscomunication? it was a fast pick and i made a decision i thout would help. should i expect a ban?

Hmmm, sounds like it was an awkward situation, to be sure! But, no, you won't be banned for this. Mistakes and miscommunication happen. And that's why the report system is set up the way it is. Even if they end up reporting you, and the game was flagged for review, it would still show that you did the best you could in the situation. You didn't flame, or argue with them, you communicated with pings, and tried the best you could to jungle without smite. As long as you weren't intentionally feeding the enemy team, then at worst they might have reported you for griefing, due to the miscommunication. But even if all of them did, that one game isn't enough to flag your account for punishment if you don't already have existing reports on you. I doubt you have anything to worry about here.

But for future reference, I would try to have at least one support champ that you can at least attempt to play if you get autofilled there. Janna is fairly easy to stay alive with, and to keep your carry alive. And it never hurts to ask in champ select for clarification if someone is actually switching roles with you. And always thank them if they are!
