Is it a punishable offense if your friend tells you where stuff is using the spectate feature?

So me and my friend were in a skype call together, while playing a league game together. But while we were around seven to eight minutes into the game, my other friend joined the call and wanted to play league with us. My friend told him we were seven to eight minutes in, and since he didn't want a start a new game, he spectated ours, and he then said in the call where an enemy pink ward is. I feel like we cheated the game so I want to know if it is a punishable offense.

It's a bit difficult to make any use of that information because there is a 3 minute delay on spectating non-custom matches. They could tell you there was an [unlimited duration ward] placed somewhere if you haven't found it within 3 minutes, but that's about it. It's best if you just focus on the match.

thats probably the only thing that he can tell you about.

If you didn't spot it for so long, chances are it wasn't in a high traffic location to matter.

either that or the map awareness of you and your team requires so much work that you can't tell that something tipped the enemy off so they can move in a certain direction.
