Riot needs to specify what is considered as flaming and what isn't.

The most retarded thing just happened. Me and my premade were playing a game and simply put... my premade got permabanned for arguing with an intentional feeder. I did the exact same thing and i promise you none of us used any derogatory terms and literally all we said is that we have a brain and that the feeder doesn't. Riot banned my premade permanently for arguing with an inter. The entire team also reported the inter and the inter reported my premade. Riot needs to understand that I have the right to ask and question any teammate on their decisions. If I am getting banned for arguing with an intentional feeder then Riot seriously need to reconsider their policies on flaming. We did not flame at all whatsoever and the harshest thing we said was that the feeder didn't have a brain. Riot need to manually review some of these games cause it just isn't fair for a team to lose LP and get banned for questioning other players. Now here is where the problem lies. Im posting this discussion from another account. The server on which my premade got permabanned was on EU NE. In EU W i have noticed it is much stricter than EU NE in terms of chat bans since I also got a chat ban in EU W for telling someone to take smite as JG and they didn't. Riot are not consistent regarding their terms and policies on all servers. If you ask me, Riot should be less strict with players who flame as in my honest opinion I would much rather have flamers than intentional feeders. It is so stupid that chat even exists as there is no point of having it in game as you get banned for arguing with teammates. The entire team has an option to mute chat and ignore all messages but that is not very conventional especially when you need communication to win the game. I think intentional feeders deserve perma ban on sight and that flaming should be proven to be hurtful. (Flaming someones mom is a ban 100%, flaming someone because they are doing bad and aren't thinking with their brain should not result in any penalties.) Please Riot review the account ''ToxicCourt'' from EU NE and do justify his Permaban if possible or at least give him a new account with all his current champs. Finally, I would like to state that you guys must introduce a clear and cut example of flaming in League of Legends as arguing with teammates is not flame. -Thank you for listening. P.S( Im the Kayn and my premade is veigar in the match overview. Taliyah was the intentional feeder.)

You don't have to make fun of someone's race, gender, sexuality, nationality, or anything like that for it to be inappropriate and be flaming. Saying someone doesn't have a brain is most certainly flaming. How'd you like it if I told you (for example, I'm not actually saying this) "it doesn't take a brain to figure out what flaming is" - implying you are less than not having a brain.

I invite you/your friend to post the chat logs given to you if you truly do believe that your suspension is without merit.

Even if someone is feeding, you cant say anything about it even if its the truth, apparently it is toxic/flaming/harassment.

Here is a pretty damn clear rule to follow....

Don't be a jerk.

If he got PERMABANNED this can't be his first offense... you don't get permabanned for flaming someone once(with the possible exception of racial/homophobic/sexist comments).

Taliyah's score seems fine.

I've removed your image due to it violating the naming and shaming rules on the board. If you reported the player in the post-game, then you've done what you can on your end to make sure their actions get looked into; however, the boards is not the place for reporting others.

If you have any questions about this moderation, feel free to reach out to us in the Boards Discord or Discuss the Boards.

Riot needs to understand that I have the right to ask and question any teammate on their decisions.

Not really. That's more of a governmental thing. It's Riots business, servers, and game. They can chose who they want to continue to have access to their games. They can't like ban you for being a male, female, straight, gay, or whatever in most industrial countries (i'm no international law lawyer). However, as far as I know, freedom of speech isn't really protected in the private market place.

That being said... suggesting that you have a brain and someone else does not should be really obvious to someone with a brain that it is flaming or inflammatory with no real world intent or design to create a positive outcome for your team. It's not questioning anything someone is doing. It's just being a dick.

Without logs, it's difficult to know for sure, but with statements like 'flaming someone because they are doing bad and aren't thinking with their brain should not result in any penalties', I am going to side with my instinct that you probably deserve chat bans since you don't sound like you use that communication channel to be an effective team but just an insulting ally.

Sorry to say you're wasting your time friend. I'm posing this reply from an account that was permabanned because I was joking around with a friend in game and calling him bad and such. My friend and I shared the same sense of humor where we liked to bust on each other, but a teammate thought I was flaming and reported me, and I was permabanned by the tribunal. I appealed this ban to riot both after the ban and again nearly 5 years later, and they gave me about a two sentence reply that they would not review my case nor unban my account. Riot doesn't care if your account gets unjustly banned, because it means you'll likely buy a new one and spend money leveling it up and reclaiming your skins. All of the fellow summoners reading your post and mine will undoubtedly side with riot, and pretend that they've never made even the slightest negative comment in a game that would have risked getting them banned. But not until the moment that they're peacefully farming their jungle and in the midst of clearing their second buff before all 3 lanes die and they type "team?" and get slapped with 4 reports in the post-game, and banned for it, will they flip sides and admit that the ban system for League of Legends is corrupt and broken. I guarantee this post gets downvoted and that people quote it trying to pick apart what I say and jump to riots defense, saying things like "you shouldn't be fake flaming your friend in team chat, there's a whisper function for a reason" or some other nonsensical rational for why I deserve the ban I got after devoting years of my life to this game. But the truth is, Riot doesn't care, and they've got an enormous, brainwashed community backing their every move. Whether it's fear or delusion, I know not.

I am sorry for the fate of your friend, and for that of many summoners like him. Know that this need not be the end of his journey, but the start of a new one.

Here, a very simple definition of flaming: If it's insulting, demeaning, derogatory, belittling, bullying, just a mean thing to say (Other than a very clinical statement of facts with no emotions attached at all), or something otherwise outside the Summoner's Code (That thing you agreed to and should have read before you started playing!), it can be considered flaming.

tl;dr of the Summoner's Code: Don't be a dick. I'm serious. That's the essence of it. Don't be a dick to your team, don't be a dick to spectators, don't be a dick to your enemy, don't be a dick to Riot.

. I think intentional feeders deserve perma ban on sight and that flaming should be proven to be hurtful.

Except it isn't always easy to determine who is intentionally feeding. Sure you have some who die every minute behind towers or build pure tears/boots. There are smarter ones though too.

Finally, I would like to state that you guys must introduce a clear and cut example of flaming in League of Legends as arguing with teammates is not flame.

While arguing is not necessarily flame, it is still negative and pointless to do.

As for having a clear cut example of flaming; no. Having a clear list is actually stupid because people can skirt that line with more ease. If they are given a punishment people can go "durr, it isn't listed as flame on the list hurr durr."
