Really Riot?
First off, I am going to start on a positive note and say I really love the new changes you've all made to the game especially the champ select. It's in a way removed so many arguments over who's playing what lane. This being said, my issue stands as this. I just received a permaban on my account which in all honestly I can say I did on a few points act in an aggressive manner towards summoners over the last 3 years playing this game. I play 5-10 games every day, i get reported maybe once or twice a week. Your system put in place for disciplining gamers is to discourage any type of negativity. Understandable, yet if lets say a duo or trio of people are playing ranked together and are basically being toxic towards everybody acting in a very immature way towards yourself and others, and you make any statement in your defense your literally now falling under "aggressive/toxic behavior" so basically you can't speak to these people without putting yourself at risk of being disciplined.. How does this even promote a positive environment? I mean unless you basically just mute everybody then you can't get away from being reported weekly when you play as many games as I do. So your system basically demotes communicating with teammates. I'm not going to even argue with why I received my permaban, but you shouldn't be banning someone who reacts to a group of players that are acting toxic, verbally harassing others, and demanding you play exactly how they say. I could personally see a lawsuit coming out of this, if someone can claim self defense in court over physical abuse because they reacted, then this is self defense on the terms of that they are still abusing someone. Possibly even throw in freedom of speach, there is a filter for the younger crowds. Honestly if anything, stop banning people for what they say and let people use the mute button, or ban the instigators, not the players who react to them. There are so many legal arguments to how your going about punishing people unjustly and taking away a product that they pay for.
