so basically i wasnt being toxic plus it was only 1 game so i dont think i should be banned permanently for this i was trying to lead my team and help my team and i get banned these are my logs also when the person was being toxic to me i was being straight fowards and not even being toxic u dont ban someone for saying stop dieing and that is all i said except stop inting so i dont think i should be banned ok ty. Sadly Riot will punish whatever they feel is "harassment" even of you don't swear, threaten, or use slurs to insult. #LeagueofSnowflakes

On a slightly more grounded note, I sincerely doubt you were permabanned JUST for this instance. Riot isn't quite that absurd.

To be fair "to insult" is a problem all on its own regardless of the lack of bad language and threats. Not really a snowflake thing as much as a: "Be a decent human being or don't play this game."

It's a competitive game, some level of trash talk or angry venting should be expected and acceptable. If you can do so without cussing someone out, threatening them, or using disparaging slurs, that should be acceptable and considered part of competition. If you pay attention to his chat log, not only does OP not cross any lines verbally, he tries to communicate with his team several times to get everyone to work together and win.

You can be a decent person, get heated and berate someone for making stupid mistakes. This IS a snowflake problem if people can't even take being called put for dumb plays without being able to cry to Rito about harassment and get someone punished.

It's a competitive game but the goal isn't to be competitive with your team mates, it's to be competitive with the enemy team. Most toxicity comes from team mate on team mate abuse from what I've seen. What you consider to be acceptable is a minority opinion on the forums and in the League community in general. You may find that to be silly and makes no sense because in your perspective you believe it should be acceptable and considered part of competition but others don't feel that's what they signed up for.

He calls his team retarded for not grouping because of his own personal beliefs-

And goes on to say the Veigar is useless on their team. How do you not see that as crossing any line verbally? Plus this is doubtfully their first offense, they say it's their first ban but there's almost no way to know that unless they tell us. I even asked for clarification and got nothing from OP. If they really felt it was necessary they would comment but obviously there's a reason for their lack of response there. If I'm incorrect then I'd advise them to get a ticket with support, but I really doubt it. I'm going to presume they were on thin ice and decided to still be a dick to team mates. This isn't a first time thing in my opinion. Communication is using something to convey meaning in a mutual way that everyone can understand. Tell me how calling Veigar useless and berating him in the game helped the team to work together to win.

You can be a decent person and get heated and berate someone sure, but in this game it has specific rules. In real life you can get heated due to a circumstance and murder someone and not be charged with murder depending on the circumstances. Heat of the moment and all that.

And no, this is an insensitivity problem where one player doesn't give a shit about the feelings of other players and feels the need to take out their personal frustration out on people in game because they don't know how to communicate like a proper human being and due to this they get punished for it by the system run by the community. Riot more than likely warned this person multitude of times that they'd get a permaban if they kept up this behavior. By your own logic they should be banned because Riot tried to warn them that they would get banned and ended up doing so because of their own actions. Other people who are passively playing the game shouldn't have to change because aggressors, those actively making a point to call out other people and what they are doing feel they should be entitled to do so. That's not how that works in this game, and flaming doesn't justify flaming ever. There's a mute button to take you out of the situation until the end of the game, you play your best until then and then get out and report them.

Are you telling me in real life if someone burnt your burger you'd go in and start berating them for burning it? Then start throwing in terms like "useless" cook, and "If your crew wasn't retarded and worked together you could cook better burgers!" Same shit different scenario. Do you think that's okay? Do you believe people wouldn't be rightly upset over it? Words have consequences because of the intent and meaning behind them. A person might not necessarily intend hurt with hurtful words but if they wished to convey other meanings they have a pretty big category of words and synonyms in a dictionary to make their point come across as more tactfully aware of people's feelings. However in almost all these cases that we see here on the boards people do not give a shit until it bites them in the ass. Which is good in my opinion, it shows they are suddenly aware there are consequences. Even if they had prior consequences and communication they'd get perma'd. That's why this is justified.

Edit: TL;DR: People should respect each other no matter what the environment. People shouldn't feel obligated to change how they feel when they are being attacked by people, when their emotions are being stirred up due to the words of other players. While the angry players are almost always being angry because of actions that aren't necessarily towards them. That's not fair to the other people in the game that the angry players get leeway over this and get to draw a line of what's acceptable because they think that should be the case. Other people are involved so your lone opinion means little when it comes to a whole.

Got banned for calling someone a jerk once... month after that got banned for just arguing no profanity just arguing... riot pretty much doesn't want you to talk unless you literally act like a soulless zombie who just compliments everyone and everything they do.

Honestly it's kind of ridiculous but I do agree it takes a lot to get permabanned ive been dinged a lot and haven't even gotten that. But it is pretty lame when in any other sport trash talk isn't necessarily allowed but tolerated and in league you say anything negative even if in response you get all your rewards taken and put on a blacklist for the rest of your days playing the game.

How isn't this toxic? You called him useless and harassed/berated them multiple occasions and you called your entire team retarded.

The way the punishment system works is you had chances up to this point to reform. Given this was something that would just be seen as harassment normally it wouldn't land you in such a hearty ban but you've more than likely had more bans/restrictions previously which put you on Riot's Watchlist essentially. You were on thin ice, then decided to dance on top of it despite being warned. Am I incorrect?

That's not how it works. If you've been banned previously then it tells you straight up that if you keep the behavior up after the ban is lifted that you'll be permabanned for your next offense, no matter how minor. That's how it works, you get put on essentially permanent probation. It's not hard not to flame people. Plenty of people are able to keep themselves in line.
