I don't understand my main's Boards permaban message (from GD)

Hello, As your account does not have a Summoner name associated with it on the Boards, we cannot continue to let the account have access to posting on the Boards. Your Boards account is now permanently suspended.

What does that mean? What did I do wrong? Can I be told what I did wrong and unbanned so that I can avoid making the same mistake again and post normally?

I originally posted this on this GD thread, and a commenter informed me of this particular Board's existence and suggested I repost my question here.

Our apologies in the mistake in banning of your forum account. Your account was accidentally banned with some mass spam on the boards. We have restored your thread and your account will become unbanned in 1 hour. Once again we are apologize for this inconvenience.

I heard something about there being account dispute issues with those that don't have a name displayed on the boards. Please submit a Support Ticket for help with that, and I'd suggest not posting on other accounts until it is resolved so as to avoid getting those banned too. If your issue gets resolved, make sure you request the boards ban to be lifted as well.

I submitted a support ticket under the generic "question about LoL/Riot" category.

I'll restrict this account's posts to this thread (or not post any more at all, if you recommend as much).

I'm not clear on what you mean by "request the boards ban to be lifted as well." The account is only banned from the Boards, and I've just checked that I can log in to the actual game with no problem. The only issue to resolve here, as far as I can tell, is the Boards ban - what else could be involved here?

EDIT: And what does "don't have a name displayed on the Boards" mean? The summoner name was displaying on my posts in a perfectly ordinary fashion, as far as I could tell.

There are some cases where a player's name simply does not appear, it'll just show the region and it's impossible to tell who posted it. I thought that's what it meant; the moderator either meant something else, or it was a mistake.

If the 'no visible name' thing had been your issue you'd have had to ask for them to fix it, and make sure they lifted your boards ban afterwards. I have no idea what the issue is from what you've told me, though.

Ok good. That's strange because it doesn't happen very often. I don't go over to GD so I didn't see the spam.
