Hatred for Bronze Ranking

Having played League of Legends for around a year now, on and off, I find that since I have played my ranked games and got my ranking (Bronze II) I've come across so many players who have flamed me for simply being in the division. I am constantly hurled insults such as "Bronze trash" and such and mostly coming from people in gold and silver divisions. It really pisses me off due to the fact that I love playing this game this game but with attitudes like this floating all through the community, I don't want to play as much.

I am by no means a good player, I wouldn't even consider myself average. I want to be able to play the game, having fun doing so while also being presented with the challenge of competing against players of a similar skill level. I openly embrace my ranking and was rather proud when I got it! (I thought it was going to be much worse) and to be absolutely abused for something that I had to work hard to get is really demoralizing. Without players such as my self everyone above would be the new bottom of the barrel. Its those kinds of people that ultimately ruin my experience in League.

average = bronze. And i'm not saying this is a rude way, its just how it was made.

Plus everyone around you are in bronze. So you can definitely let them know that.

People don't care that you're a certain rank, they just care if you play well or not.

and such and mostly coming from people in gold and silver divisions.

Those divisions are barely better than bronze....The main differences are better teamplay and people buying pinks....The individual skill ain't so much better.

Silvers are funny tho, they think they are LCS. :D

It sucks to have someone call you bad just because of your name tag. However, it's really not so bad. I've never considered /mute all ingame before but now that you mention it, using it in Bronze-level games is probably the best way to go.

If you're aware you're not a good player, you're already doing better than most bronze/silver players. A lot of players stuck in this bracket tend to throw themselves at the game expecting something to change. Everyone knows about those low ELO players that say they are the best and believe they are totally infallible, too.

Working on your gameplay to improve while simultaneously looking up what you're dealing with is important. Ranked plays differently to normals, and Bronze/Silver are easily punishable and can easily forget key elements in the heat of the moment. If you're against a low Gold player you should keep up your focus at all times and make informed decisions on whether plays are worth it or not should they be playing their main/best lane. Anything higher will generally know all kinds of shit about the champions they are playing and you need to be weighing your options non stop. In comparison, the effort you need to put in to fighting low ELO opponents is much lower if you know what you're doing ingame.

What I'm saying is, don't give up. If you have just a teeny bit more game knowledge than the average bronze about the champion and lane you are playing (read: almost none, "this champion does this sometimes"), you should be able to climb out just by playing many games on a schedule. Ever looked up any guides/streams to see all the little details in how a successful game plays out with a certain champion? It really helps.
