I know it was really offensive to say "kys" in chat, but hear me out for a bit. By just reading the whole entire thing I technically never said something offensive other than the "kys" and "sht", I was just being silly. To be honest, I wasn't asking them to kill themselves because "kys" could've meant many things like "kiss yourself" or "knaw your sandwiches" since it's an abbreviation (Not trolling). Despite that everyone sees "kys" as "kill yourself", I'll admit that and I'm sincerely sorry for that. Also, I'm not going to forget about the spam that I've caused because that's considered toxic behavior, I'll admit that too and I'm also sincerely sorry for that as well. However, I feel like that's a bit too much because it's summer and everyone's supposed to have a great time, but I ruined it and I'm sorry. Anyways my point is I trust the people who make the right call, I trust them what they're doing, and I trust that they're smart; I trust that everyone deserves a second chance to get reformed from what they've caused. I came here to type this because I feel like I don't deserve this much of a ban and feel like this needs to be reformed. From the bottom of my heart, I apologize for everything that I did in this League community and the toxicity I've made throughout my LoL career. If I'm not reformed, I'll respect it, but if I were to ever get reformed I will never ever say something toxic in chat and be cool it with. If this happens again, please ban me permanently because that's part of the rules. Thank you and I sincerely apologize, again.

How in heck does someone go an entire game saying over 80 messages and literally not even one constructive message the entire game?

This ban is as much for the kys and the general negativity as it is for the utter spam you flung at the chat.

Spamming chat isn't reportable. There is no defined limit to chat.

Chat that is non-constructive is reportable as negative attitude, and chat that is constant spam (this probably isn't "constant" spam, but it's spam) is verbal abuse.

The consensus limit is that a limited amount of non-constructive chat is allowed as long as it is either not in a gameplay sensitive part of the game (before minions, etc) and/or transient in nature.

This person, on the other hand, spent 82 messages spamming useless crap to their team. That is certainly reportable and punishable.

Spamming aside, saying kys is going to flag him always for punishment.

As well as being reported for this:

See, there's no comprehensive list of things that are and are not reportable. From my experience on the boards (as well as hints from bans people have gotten), spamming chat is certainly considered reportable/punishable, and while it's not as bad as direct flaming and/or hate speech, etc. it's certainly not something given a slap on the wrist.

Spamming might be a low-level infraction, certainly nothing to get banned for, but does have some weight.

From what I've seen, the official stance is that if it's muted/reported frequently (over half the time), it's punishable. I certainly would mute someone spamming chat with nothing constructive.

Furthermore, there's no such thing as a "low level" infraction. It's either punishable, and will start low and escalate repeatedly all the way to a perma, or it's not punishable and will not get any punishment at all nor factor into a punishment. This excludes things that are zero tolerance such as hate speech/slurs/etc, which get escalated to a ban directly.

There's the obvious offenses, then there's the ambiguous offenses. Spamming isn't an obvious offense, otherwise spamming would specifically be reportable. Spamming on the boards is an offense, because it dilutes meaningful dialogue. Spamming in game can be something used against a player in a report, but is not itself reportable.

Sigh, it's reportable. If you don't believe me, go spam a game and see if you get reported.

Something either is an offense, or it isn't an offense. You first tried "bannable" vs something else, now you're trying "obvious" vs "ambiguous". Something either is an offense, or it is not an offense.

I'm trying to get you to draw the connection. There is no definition that exists the specifically addresses spamming. The "feel" that you're talking about has to be down in writing in order for it to be valid. Non-constructive chat, spam, or whatever name you want to use does not exist anywhere for a reportable in-game offense.

Actally, I think Spamming (as a report option) might have been rolled into Griefing, since it used to be selectable in the old system.

It's just an eyesore to me, distracting me from my game. Pretty toxic imo.

Zero tolerance policy towards telling someone to "kys". Also you prob had warnings beforehand and didnt approve

Kys will always be auto flagged, even if nobody reports you. Certain vulgarities will still be punishable even if you said it in a playful manner. What kind of ban did you get?

14 day suspension... I would rather have a week ban or 24 hour ban if I was anyone, honestly.

The next ban against your account will be a permanent one, so I'd recommend really giving a shot at reforming. The only time ban now is a 2-week ban. You might've been elevated because of the severity of your comments if you skipped the chat restrictions. You'll be back into League eventually, but do actually try not to be verbally abusive to teammates mentioning specifically kys.

There isn't a link to reform your account. Reform specifically addresses you as the player. Maybe you could check out support for more information about your suspension, and specifically review the Summoner's Code.

They are way too sensitive on "kys".

As you said, it could mean anytihng.

They could release a new called Arkys and they'd still ban people for typing 'kys'.

If someone is really so sensitive that three little letters actually makes them suicidal, then they belong in a mental institute, not the institute of war.

Completely different to a complete stranger saying "kys".

I say it all the time in game. I don't actually mean kill yourself (though I really couldn't care less), I mean "Ah fuck you, lucky shot/dodge" or if I facecheck and get instakilled. 'kys' is much easier to type than 'haha fuck you'
