Why isn't there a real-life threat option in the report window?

I was just told at my current game ending 12:21 that this person was going to hunt me down and personally kill me and my family. They were going to shoot me in the face bc I called them bad on a video game. It was a supp Morg and she couldn't take it that she couldn't just play passive and sit in the back and throw q's i asked her to play more aggressive and she just LOST it, like the fake World of Warcraft freak-out kid lost it. There needs to a option other than harassment to report that is a bit more serious than verbal abuse, bc telling someone you're going to murder there whole family and find them and shoot them in the face is a bit more extreme than "verbal abuse." Why is the punishment for calling someone bad, trash, or pondscum the same as someone else telling me they are going to murder me in real life and my family...AAAAAANNNNDDD GOOO

because 99.9% of league players have no means of carrying out real life threats. report them under "harassment".

If someone ever says something like that, try to screenshot it and then file a Support Ticket about it along with the standard Report (this would fall under the Verbal Abuse and Negative Attitude categories). Riot takes real-life threats very seriously so you want to alert them to these kinds of behaviors ASAP.

I tried to do file a support ticket but I didn't screenshot it, can't they just check the chat log at the end of the game?

They can, but screenshots help.

Like Ulanopo said, they can definitely go through the chat logs themselves, but screenshots help them in that matter as well. Don't beat yourself up if you were unable to get one this time around.

Here is a better question.

If we have an unskilled player report option, why not an unintelligent player report option?

Because I can't see how - in any universe - trying to melee basic attack Heimerdinger under his turret, with his own turrets shooting at you even if you retreat back, is an even remotely good idea, especially when you decided that mid Garen was going to be so dope in the first place.
