Got a 25 game chat ban for this (context, the Janna was actually inting after an early death where we "did not help". She was not just unintentionally bad, and went 0/18/1 in a 19 minute game):

you continuously said to report a player which falls under harassment. that is probably the reason you got nailed.

" pls report" " pls report janna" " rem to report janna"

that is 3 times. probably more but those were the obvious. had you said it once then stayed silent you probably could have gone under the radar.

Report whoever you want, even if they did nothing wrong. You earned your chat ban. Janna is fine. She probably thought that was the right and best way to play.

I don't have to ask. It's clear to me this is not a reportable offense. One of their in-game tips literally says: "Tip: Competitive BSing is fine. But Hate Speech? Not so much." But then if you get reported they say that ABSOLUTELY ANY negativity is reportable, which is ridiculous. Everyone knows that's not how the game works. There's negativity in some form in literally every game. It all shouldn't and isn't supposed to be reportable. There's no flaming or offensive language here, so what's the problem? Is this some kind of Orwellian community where any criticism whatsoever is punished, even if it's offered in a very moderate tone? Riot needs to do a better job of seeing the difference between civil negativity and flaming/hate speech which they seem to acknowledge in their in-game tip but won't acknowledge after you've been reported.
