Reports? What For?
This is just a bit of concern over the 4 notifications i've gotten in these passed 3 weeks... I've received a notification that i've been reported for "verbal abuse" in games that i've stayed silent until I say ONE sentence. This sentence is usually "how'd they all get fed?" or "why did you do that?". I'm not sure what exactly is abusive about asking questions like that in a team game where the most valuable resource is information. I'm not saying that i don't lose my cool, because I know i've gone off on someone one time or another, but the fact that you can be reported for anything, no matter how small, is concerning. With the tribunal being non-existent a friend of mine told me I should be seriously concerned with the reports. On average I've been a generally positive player in the 5 years i've been playing league. But all of a sudden this season people seem to be reporting me for what seems like normal questions a team should be asking each other and things as petty as "I'm not following your lead" When i get those odd elo heroes who claim to be a team's savior. With punishment (as far as i know) being based on how often you're reported...what can I do about the raging children in my games who report me for almost no reason? I've literally(as far as I know) never been reported in the past, but all of a sudden i've received four warnings. "We understand everyone gets frustrated sometimes" is the LAST thing I feel I should be reading after calmly stating "that ahri is fed, we need to focus her" or explaining to someone who is angrily blaming teammates for losses when it had nothing to do with them. It's just starting to feel like no one can say anything in a game unless it's stupid useless babble or "good job man" without offending someone. Part of me wants to blame the punishment system that people look to be abusing. Like using reports as threats to stop people from letting them know simple things, like when or where to ward, or whether or not to dive a tower...etc. I feel like people shouldn't have to be afraid to talk to one another in a game based on teamwork, and when everyone jumps to the worst conclusion because they have to read text in a voice they assume for the person who typed it everything seems to sound like an attack, because of this people jump to the 'he's being abusive' mindset when you say something like 'can we keep that brush warded?'.
