What are we supposed to do with lobby trolls?

Okay, so, for the second time today i got trolls in my games, fortunatly only at the champ select stage and i had to dodge to avoid stuff.

First one, people in question got their secondary role and said that they would either play their main role by force or troll. And in the second one, one person got their main champ banned (Guess what, a yasuo main. Yeah predictable) and also another player that, once again, got the secondary role and wanted mid by force.

Now, how are you supposed to deal with this stuff? Im forced to either leave the lobby, and risk stacking leaving penalties to the point of a ban, or simply play a game that's doomed from the start and lose a ton of LP? There is no way to report anyways unless i trudge through the whole game, so they always get what they want in the end.

It's just really freaking frustrating that no one else dodges and just let them do what they want...

let them play and feed as they threatened. then report them after the game. try to stay as calm as possible during and just have fun. you probably won't win but have some /all chats about what movie you saw last week or something.

I often don't feel physically safe after lobby trolls so I take screenshots, and copy and paste the text into notepad prior to dodging.

Then I send everything to Riot support and hope they get banned.

Are you talking about trolls during champ select, or trolls in lobby? If you're talking about trolls in the lobby I suggest finding new friends instead of inviting trolls.

Lobby, Champ Select, and End-game screen are completely different phases.

When someone have their teammates under their "control" like this (threatening to "troll" or something else like that) and make a demand, the best thing to do are either... ^.^

  • Comply (pride is NOT a good thing to have; this is NOT being a doormat - that's bad) and follow a demand! Or...
  • Dodge without making any remarks, insults, etc (Having the rude last word and leaving the lobby does nothing, if not worse, in term of emotional well-being of the leaver's. The only exception if the dodger have a beautiful word of wisdom, otherwise you're just more-than-likely angering the troll...that doesn't teach anyone)!

Apologies if this is overthinking. It's true for plenty of people here, so just typing it in case you could think about it

I do not know how Riot handle reports through support tickets, so I won't mention anything about it after this. =O

If you do play, just report the player afterward. Whether the game is won or lost, it does not matter. The behavior is still considered unsportsmanlike. The game IS NOT DOOMED to begin with. If the "troll" get his role, and everyone plays nicely in-chat and in-game, the "troll" may play normally as if he originally gotten the role.
