In almost everygame I play I get people who say to report someone in /all chat. But before and after they say to report someone they'll insult them and call them abusive names... Like everytime and it's like how are you going to tell everyone to report someone when you just broke the TOS? I see this almost every ranked match I am in. Also saying to "Report" someone is also breaking TOS.
scazzman2 votesBecause riot hasn't gotten rid of report weight and even if multiple reports dont count. It still increases the likelihood of the toxic douche being hit by a weighted reporter. And therefore more likely to get banned

people carry that mindset over and want to blame everyone (instead of themselves).

No, the system looks at the percentage of games someone has been reported* in
*only reports with a decent report value count. So if you report everyone in every game for nothing, your reports do about as much as a piece of toilet paper.

IIRC, reports are counted per game. There is no difference between 1 and 9 reports within a game as far as the system is concerned.
Laqutis Bot1 votesI've heard people say this over and over and I don't believe Riot would actually think 1 report is the same as 9. I think they are just saying that so people won't ask for reports. I have a little more confidence in their reasoning abilities.
I'm not saying 9 reports should be 9 times as powerful as 1 report, but there's no way they should be equal. An example of why that would be stupid: one guy is reported by 1 person 4 games in a row, by someone who is on tilt and randomly reporting various people in his games he doesn't like. Another guy is reported 4 games in a row by at least 2-3 players per game for legitimate reasons, you're telling me the system should treat these reports equally? Ridiculous
They could also easily tell if it's 4 premades reporting vs 4 randoms so that shouldn't be an issue.
proud and bronze1 votesthe way reports work is such a mystery because riot keeps it a big secret. but i have heard if you report a lot then your reports are not worth as much. in that case you need to get others to report someone so it will work better.
