Account compromised and suspended

Hi Folks,

Just wondering what your thoughts are on my situation below.

After 2+ years of not accessing my LoL account due to playing other games and life in general, I decided to jump back on the other day. I tried the password that I thought was correct for my account, didn't work, so I requested a new password to be emailed via the "forgot my password" link below the login screen. No email was received, so I waited an hour before I made a ticket to the support department regarding having my account potentially compromised, to which I received a reply that I might have had a harmful program on my pc that could have stolen my information.

I followed the advice given to scan my pc and change my email pw and create a new pw for my LoL account. After doing this I was finally able to login, but to only be greeted by a 14 day suspension from "bad behaviour" due to the person who was accessing my account. So some one had gained access to my account and changed the password and email address linked to the account and "claimed" it as their account. They have also bought RP on my account with their paypal which I assume Riot should be able to verify that it was not me?

So I have given Riot all these details to see if they can remove the 14 day suspension and I'm having a really hard time with it, my first ticket they realised my account was compromised, second ticket about suspension is my accounts fault as players are not at fault but the actual account apparently, response to that ticket they came back saying my account wasn't actually compromised even though someone changed my password and added a new email and used their paypal to purchase items.

TLDR: My account was compromised/stolen, I got it back but who ever was using it caused it to get suspended. Should Riot remove the suspension?

Apparently the Behavior team has looked over my case and deemed the suspension to be rightly issued. How that makes sense is beyond me, they have given no evidence of why they think its justified other then saying the hacker wasn't playing the games that were reported, but couldn't they easily offload my account details to someone else?

If I haven't logged into the account for 2+ years and received no email notifications due to someone accessing my account and changing the email, how can they still argue it's my fault when this is the first time I have ever had my account compromised? Surely they can check login locations or chat logs to my friends list?

Reply to your ticket and ask them to forward to be behavior team to review the timing of the punishment. Specifically, let them know that the punishment happened while your account was compromised and ask them if the ban can be removed.

My advice is to not pursue this any further because if they do tag it as compromised you will need to engage in a long line of questions to verify you are the original creator of the account to get it back in the best case. In the worst case you don't remember some questions and you lose your account forever

If you do pursue this be prepared, there is a chance (a very small one but still) you have to prove you didn't sell the account and are now trying to claim it back. Just wait the 14 day ban and be very careful, also be glad you got it before a potential perma.

After replying to the Riot support team through my ticket to appeal this suspension I have achieved nothing, they keep telling me they can't do anything about removing the 14 day suspension (which was caused by some one else accessing my account and playing on it for who knows how long).

From Riot: "You are fully responsible for any actions taken on the account and for it's security. Whenever a change happens on your account, security wise, you are notified by email. If you see any changes that do not belong to you, then you should secure your account and reach out to us as soon as possible. Along with our investigation of the issue helped us to recover the account to you, but sadly there is nothing that we can do in regards to the 2 week suspension."

As I mentioned to Riot, I have not received any emails about my account since 2015, so if anything was happening how could I know? So they know I haven't been receiving emails from Riot about my account but they just ignore that and carry on telling me it's my fault.....................................Thanks Riot.

Suspension finally ended which gave me access to friends list and chat, it is clear that some one was using my account. Good job to Riot for making zero effort to look into my case. They are so useless.
