This game does not even read its reports

Almost every single one of the reports in this game are never read and never will be read. So why does the ban system even exist? People legitimately get banned because the system deems it too many deaths with too many bans and you will get banned for intentionally feeding regardless of whether or not you were actually feeding. If someone is toxic, doesn't really matter what they say all that matters is whether or not they say fuck or shit or %%%%%%. It's a pretty bad system when the only time a person can get banned for toxicity is a chat filter.

0 evidence provided. Why even make this thread then?

Well, considering that the IFS churns through billions of reports and actually doles out punishment appropriately a bit more than 95% of the time, I'm going to assume that the reports are getting read.

So why does the ban system even exist?

Punishment System*, and to punish players who break the rules, obviously.

People legitimately get banned because the system deems it too many deaths with too many bans and you will get banned for intentionally feeding regardless of whether or not you were actually feeding.

Wrong. I've heard quite a few people say that cases of intentional feeding are manually reviewed - as in, by human beings and not the IFS - and I honestly doubt their criteria are "is the player's death count high and have they been reported a lot?" - there are a lot, and I mean a LOT of subtle factors into discerning intentional feeding from having a bad game.

If someone is toxic, doesn't really matter what they say all that matters is whether or not they say fuck or shit or %%%%%%.

Also wrong. Numerous players get punished for negative chat, and nobody gets punished just for saying "fuck" or "shit" - that last word though, looks to be either a homophobic or a racist slur, which will always result in a 14-day ban when it's verified.

I've heard one of the Moderators (and I kind of recall it being Prandine, but don't quote me on that) mention that the IFS works primarily off of a complex algorithm that allows it to basically read player chat. It can tell when a player is being an asshole and when they're not.

If you doubt me, go ahead and browse the Player Behavior boards for a while. Look at Chat Restriction cases, and tell me those people only got banned because they said "shit". Or, look at ban cases, and tell me those people hadn't had a history of bad behavior. (discounting those who use hate speech or other zero-tolerance chat)

It's a pretty bad system when the only time a person can get banned for toxicity is a chat filter.

First of all - yeesh, that sentence is hard to figure out.

Second - no, the chat filter doesn't have anything to do with punishing players, and players get punished for numerous reasons. Again - just look around PB.

Lastly - just because you think the system is bad doesn't mean it is. It isn't perfect, of course, not by a long shot, but it sure as shit isn't bad.

what's your evidence that people get banned for inting when they aren't? I'd like to see it

So let me understand this. Because of the one corrected ban, which mind you was for 3rd party programs or account sharing; which is actually a different system than the IFS, the IFS is shit?
