Permaban Appeals

This is not an appeal nor am I banned

Just was wondering earlier with Tyler1 being unbanned, is Riot looking or ever going to change their policy about appealing permas? I'm indifferent about it but, doesn't that put a big rift in the community with messages like (and I've seen a fair share already) "Tyler1 got unbanned, why can't I?" What exactly was so special about his name being whiped clean even after countless account terminations. Other than he's a digital billboard for League of Legends.

On a side note I do like Tyler1 as an entertainer, I'm happy for him that he was unbanned, and I'm not trying to tick anyone off.

Most people are free to make another account if they're permanently banned. Tyler1 was prohibited from doing so. He is now no longer prohibited from doing so, and anyone else prohibited from doing so (a handful of people around the world) can appeal to Riot to review that punishment.

Your average Joe is not a similar case at all. None of Tyler's accounts were unbanned, and no regular player will have theirs unbanned either.

Riot bans the account, not the person. Tyler was special and he deserved his unban because he came a looooong way. But he still never got his original account back.
