Everybody mocks discipline system

The worst trolls and feeders and abusive jerks just mock the discipline system. I really don't think that the system works at all or these people wouldn't be in every game. Most people I talk about it with in game don't think the system is punishing these perps either. At this point I seriously feel that the report system is just window dressing to make people think that they have some power against these jerks when they really don't.

The first week I started playing I got a message that discipline was taken against someone I reported. Months later... I haven't gotten one other similar message. I think they give people that message when they're new players to make them think that it's working. At this point I'm just starting to get to where I feel like half the games are affected by bad player behavior and that's just too much wasted time to keep playing. I know this post has no effect on anything but I got it out anyway. Flame on.

I mock it because I've seen it not work. Riot claims that the new system provides instant feedback and instant reports, Yet, I have personally seen quite a few players spam hate speech, intentionally feeding, and other sort of toxic behavior and NOT get punished by the system at all. This is made clear following these people on op.gg and seeing match history after match history of them continuing with their behavior.

It's obviously a very flawed system but I also think that the system needs to be tweaked. For one thing, those of us that do the reporting should be notified when the player is punished because right now the only way you see a message is if your report specifically triggered the ban, and only the ban not a warning. This would stop people from saying that the system doesn't do anything because we all think our reports go unnoticed.

The flamers or trollers usually have to subject to a select number, 3 or so, of games in which they participated with a negative attitude to restrict them in any way, and this is usually only if you report them. When you get chat restricted, I'm fairly sure that it's only an automated system, similar to LeaverBuster, and after that an actual moderator takes over, but this is all just speculation based off of what I've heard.

It really helps if you're detailed in your reports. Writing a quick description of what took place in-game can be the difference between being punished or not. I've only gotten the message about three times in my history of playing, so I'm not sure.

they get caught eventually. there is just no way for a computer program to catch them so it takes a long time (months) for anything to happen.

there was a guy i was keeping an eye on for a while who was straight feeding. he would go like 1-25 every single game. ranked games. and it took almost a year before he finally stopped. i assume he finally got banned but he was in the hundreds of games ruined.

plus you can buy level 30 accounts for like 15 dollars now so if you really like trolling that much, the eventual ban is not going to slow you down much.

It is window dressing because no game has ever been able to rid itself of this "so-called toxicity" let alone define what it is to begin with.

All they're doing is hurting their own business but we'll let them shoot themselves in the foot.

Many of you probably assume I'm a troll toxic feeder because of my posts, but in actuality, I rarely if ever speak. I've gone on a mute spree in-game because of how many hypocritical know-it-alls just can't seem to stop typing. Anyhow, listen to what this guy has to say or what I have to say or ignore it and tell yourself that you're right. Doesn't really change what's at play here.

The feedbacks aren't instant when it comes to manual review. System is working as riot intends it to, though it's too lenient in my opinion since it's giving offenders too many "chances to prove themselves in an improved fashion" while they proceed to create more victims.

The system IS working. Sometimes it takes awhile for someone to be banned because their are cases being worked on.

As for the message, you get told someone was banned if it was YOUR report that flagged the account to be checked into.
