Someone Took my Account Last Night, and Now I am Banned, Please Help.

My Ban Appeal

Hello, everyone. I logged onto League today to play a couple games with my duo partner to find this. I was stunned at what I saw the I allegedly said. I had my friend (Spank The Crank) check my match history and saw that I played a Cassiopeia Blind Pick on December 23rd.

That was very weird to me, I haven't played Blind Pick in several months AND I don't play Cassiopeia because I want to get back into Ahri. But that wasn't the only thing, I was playing Portal 2 all night. My good friend bought him and I a copy in the Steam Winter Sale and we played Co-Op from 12:00 to around 2:30 A.M., then I went to sleep because I was going out with friends that day.

As you can see from the pictures, I played Portal all of the mornings of December 23rd, so there can be no way that it was me who was on.

I'll admit, I don't have a strong password, I've been meaning to change it to one of my new, stronger passwords. Riot, please help me out here. League has brought me closer to my little brother and friends and I can't lose my account now. I'll jump through all of your hoops, just please help me out here. I love League to death but I don't want to start over after I've put in so much money.

EDIT: After all of this proof that my account was stolen, I got a reply from Player Support saying: "Hey IMainIrelia,

Your account has been permanently banned after being escalated through multiple levels of punishment by our disciplinary audits.

To see the most recent games which led to this action, please log in to the client to view your reform card. While we do our best at Riot Games to encourage reform, we permanently remove players who continue to create negative experiences from our game.

This action is only taken after repeat punishments and we will not lift the suspension under any circumstance.

Although this marks the end of the line, we’re confident that with some reflection you will be able to avoid this kind of situation with whatever new games you decide to play.

Best of luck in your future endeavors.

I'm stunned at how they handled this. And now I turn to you, community, to help me out. Make Riot look at the evidence and give me a real answer, not some copy-paste garbage. I don't think I'll continue playing if my account stays banned, I can't support a game if Player Support can't support the players.

Send in a support ticket, asap, and probably change your password. Also, if you used the same password on anything else, I highly recommend you change all of those.

My cousin got un-banned after he proved that he got hacked , you just need to keep pressing Riot Support until they actually get a real person to respond to you and look into your case , not an automared response

Yeah, submit a support ticket. Since you caught it so fast they probably can reverse it but it might take them a while so be patient and persistent.

Few months ago, I got hacked too. The hacker flamed in all chat too, but he played a ranked game and also feeded. Luckily I got only 10 game chat ban. I contacted riot support about this and sent them 2 long letters explaining everything. The reply I got was exactly the same as you got. I messaged them more, but they just ignored what I was trying to say, seems like they didnt even read what I wrote. Things like this make me sad :/

Boy I'm glad Riot support has the same response with or without evidence, top notch company. Says they take investigations very carefully (Which is why the person intentionally feeding in my match who called me a Ngger Fggot wasn't banned for months) and yet you're banned instantly despite having a plethora of proof it wasn't you. Thank God I stopped spending money on this game after $50. I hope you get your account back OP, this is some bullshit.

They should of realize that there was some inconsistencies with your account leading uo to the ban. The investigation team has always been a joke. Submit a ticket asap and lets hope we have a rioter post on this thread.

#Let's talk about the logistics here. Millions of players worldwide, only a few hundred employees working in Player Support. If there was no automated system queuing up tickets and answering basic requests (that can still be requested for a follow up from a real Riot Support member), how many tickets do you believe a few hundred Support employees can answer in a day, manually? Not many, considering that Riot Support sure as hell isn't sitting on their hands all day, getting payed for doing virtually no work and letting the bot answer all of it.

Secondly, the bot can answer simple requests and messages are always signed by a Riot Support employee that's in charge of your ticket. That means you can always request to have your ticket reviewed by a real support member if there's no simple resolution to your ticket. Those members can also forward your ticket to another department, better suited to dealing with your problem at hand if it reached someone who isn't qualified to answer your question first.

Thirdly, i realize that as an individual you think your ticket should always have undivided attention of a support member and that they should always be able to help in one way or the other. I agree with that. But also consider things from their perspective - a lot of players in your predicament that are guilty and responsible of their own bans also send requests and a bot's answer is usually enough to remind them of the Riot's policy, directing them to a place where they can find the evidence of their offenses (if available).

Riot Support Members' personnel time is a valuable resource so it's not wise to spend it so carelessly on every ticket. Tickets need to be prioritized and those that are not able to get a resolution through the available Knowledge Base articles (and sometimes, this is enough to fix problems or provide the necessary information requested), the bot leaves you with the instructions on how to proceed to a the next level of support help (personal help).

##All tickets start as low priority tickets and work their way up the list. ##You can at any time request help from a person on the other side that will assist you, if needed be.

Believe me, Riot takes these tickets seriously. They didn't blow you off. You just didn't continue talking to them and requested a manual review, you came running here after the first unsatisfactory response.


I've never had a problem with Riot Support. I've had some issues with my PBE or Live clients at some point so when the articles that the bot sends me don't help (because i always check if i am not missing something), when i send my logs and DX diag as attachments - a bot can't tell me what's wrong from them. A person has to review them and tell me what is the problem. In the end, i always end up talking with someone and managing to find a resolution to the problem.

I feel like the majority of the frustrations from these posts come from the fact that people can't understand why a bot system is needed to exist. It's a logistical impossibility that every player has their own personal assistant that they can chat up at any point in time. This is the reason why your tickets cannot be, most of the times, answered immediately after you've sent them.

I just want to make a side point. Looking at that chat log from the ban picture, the person obviously just wanted to ban the account. They pulled out everything they could to trigger the system and go straight to a perma. Hacked the account, banned the account.

Why? Are people honestly that troubled that they spend their free time just trying to take peoples' accounts and ban them? Is there some satisfaction to this I'm not getting? You don't see the person's reaction, you don't get anything from it, you just do something horrible and then move on.

if what you say is true then riot will probably be able to do something,if they can see the ips being diferent and the operating systems etc. then maybe they will be able to solve your problem,the screenshot from portal is not realy proof since a friend could have taken it and send it to you to help you.

like just send them another one. The first time i asked to change the spacing in my name i got a reply that they don't change names for free. I answered on that one and i got some other guy/girl apologizing for the others oversight and he changed the spacing. if you want anything serious done by riot support don't expect shit from your first ticket. I think they start actually checking it from like the second message.

Regardless of what actually happened here, I think it's way beyond time Riot implement dual factor authentication... most other games have had something else that is needed when you log in. They have an official mobile app, they can just tie it into that and add other options for it, like a text authentication for those who don't want the app or w.e.

I have a lot of value tied to my account as I've been playing since 2010... I would be devastated if this ever happened to me. I probably would never play League again, and it would give me more incentive to play Dota 2 over League.

What you need to do is to ask them to forward your ticket to fraud department, and ask them to review the account for suspicious activity.

If they have confirmed there was suspicious activity going on, then ask them to forward it back to the behavioral team and check if the toxicity occurred during the same time the suspicious activity was happening.

It's going to take some time (especially during the holidays as they receive waaaaaaaayyyyy more tickets), but if things are as what you say, you'll get your account back.

Agreed, my main account was wrongfully banned after someone accessed it and used a bot program in ranked games. Riot support sucks ass when it comes to these situations.

Gonna play devil's advocate here: they never permaban for one time things. NEVER. You could say you wanted to start a second holocaust and send death threats to everyone on the enemy team, and that wouldn't get you a permaban. At most, that would get an immediate chat restriction. Even for boosting and scripting, they give you second chance.

The second thing is that Riot support will help you. I've had problems in the past with internet connections, and they weren't super fast on response, but they did help. They gave the copy-paste answers first, because if they didn't, they would waste so many resources on players who just didn't google things. Then, if you still have problems, they actually look into it more. They are there to help you, it is their job. Just make sure to keep messaging them, and they will be willing to help you.

That all being said, I'm sorry your account got hacked. That really sucks. I wish you the best of luck in getting that incident sorted out.

Question for you OP: have you been banned before, or is this a first-offense permaban? I'm wondering out of curiosity.

In terms of helping you, all I can tell you is to be VERY patient. Riot support will do NOTHING. You will continuously be told "you are banned due to negativity on your account" and "the decision is final, and I will consider this matter closed". Keep sending them just to make them work, but understand they will do nothing for you. Eventually, this post will get enough attention and a Rioter will (hopefully) do his/her job and look into the hack (something that should have been done before the ban, but apparently Riot reserves the right to put lazy fucking dogs on the player behavior team). You are doing all you can, however little it may be, now just play the waiting game and please continue to ensure that as many people as possible see just how shit Riot's behavioral analysts are. People in this shit community so often jump to the conclusion that anyone who gets banned is automatically a shit person, when in fact an alarming number of bans are either false or because the ban bot took something out of context.
