Time to Clean Up the Community
We all know that yes there are positive players in the community, but there's no denying that the majority of the league community is heavily toxic. Even the calmest people I know have became tilted or toxic after playing for a certain amount of time, not because of losses or playing bad but because the accumulation of toxic players gets to them. My experience this morning was grinding to actually complete my plat 3 promos (I have now sat them 4/5 times) involved a Taliyah going 1/7 which did snowball the other team. However it was at 1/2 she started saying gg, open mid, let's end and before you know it the whole team is joining in saying this is useless. Another game game a Yasuo player is instantly flaming me from the champ select screen and doesn't let up, carrying the team he is still flaming me whether I am making a mistake or not and then tilts the rest of the team till it's just one huge argument and then ggwp we throw. The day before I had two games with an afk about mid game so no remake and someone who decided to feed. These are but ones I remember as few of my games in ranked have actually been enjoyable experiences with my team mates and this is after about 20 games. What happens? I get two notifications which say my feedback has helped. Though does that matter? When going threw a bad time I got a chat ban and while riot says a single ban is enough to deter people in the heat of the moment with flamers or trolls no one cares and they will do as these please.
What I am trying to get at is I think it's about time Riot clamped down on the toxicity of the community. I know it must be tough with such a large player base but even if after a ban people reform, they still did what they did, cost someone promos, put another on tilt for the day so they flame others and so on. I think it's about time that a one strike policy is introduced as few people even seem feared of being absolute pricks.
I just think the threat levels need to be lifted to prevent shitty actions by players. As I do not look forward to promos anymore for the simple fact that with higher stakes the people flaming me or trolling me will effect my mood far greater.
