League of legends's community is the worst

The community of this game is the worst from the entire world. All the players hate each other . They are flaming , cursing each other , and many , MANY more... I would like that the chat in the game to be more pleasant not cursing words everywhere and the players take the opportunity to curse another player just for taking a CS or a kill. And the trolling ones are the worst.

It's not league specific, it's online gaming in general that's toxic. For example, I got into the beta for Paladin's (if you want you can buy a founders pack for 20$ and get early access, I find it quite enjoyable), It's by the same people that made smite and it's in closed beta right now. So even though it's in closed beta, it's a FPS game (not a lot of time for typing) toxicity is still rampant throughout the game. It's not every game, but in quite a few.

Personally, I think this has to do with the anonymity of the internet. On the internet, you don't have to think of the other player being a person, they are just a figment, not really alive. That way we justify ourselves in letting ourselves lash out at other players. While it does happen, let's say in American Football, it is actually quite rare that players will lash out at each other. For example, in American Football, if a player makes a mistake, his teammates aren't swearing in the poor guy's face, they will often leave him alone or try to get him to snap out of it and get ready for the next round. The difference is, these guys are physically next to eachother.

In case you didn't know, there is a mute feature. It lets you not see their chat.

You can type into the chat box:

/mute @username ie, /mute @DaNuIiBai

Or

/mute @Champion Name ie, /mute @Karma

The word ignore works the same way. You can also press the sound button next to each champion's score on the tab menu to mute.

I don't think the league community is that different from others. It is a game that intensifies those toxic situations, though. You are both heavily reliant on other people as well as stuck with them for the duration of the game. It is a powder keg. I noticed when I was playing the overwatch beta is that the same kinds of things that trigger toxic things in league almost always fizzle out. Some guy says something like "noob team doesn't know how to handle blablabla" and just no one cares. No one responds. he guy never says another thing, situation over. In league 9 times out of 10 someone would have had a defensive response, the original guy would then continue and it escalates up and up

You know, I disagree. I don't see the toxicity in every single game like you do. It could be that I'm not sensitive to these things, but in general, people who are looking for toxic behavior are more likely to see minor things as trolling or flaming, instead of simple mistakes.

Actually, I just noticed that you play on the EU server. My apologies.

If you really want to see the worst community, I suggest armored warfare PvP, European server.

It's pretty easy to get a bad impression of League community given all the criticism and negativity that gets thrown around in game and on the boards.

Personally I think League has some really amazing and devoted people and I'd love to have more time to explore all the related blogs, lore, music and artistry people have channeled to express their love and feelings for this game.
