I've never done the Tribunal, as I don't think I was playing by early 2014 or heard of it, but It was supposedly a public voting thing where you could review reported players games and the chat logs of them. Seems like a thing that would have been fun to look at.

It has been replaced with the instant feedback system, where the system uses the old data from tribunal as a starting point and learns new things deemed unacceptable by the community as time passes.

I actually really liked the tribunal. https://i.gyazo.com/5fb22ff1e71df01ead3691657f1472ab.png https://i.gyazo.com/be1d425a3ffecd516a277737728ce883.png This wasn't me, but that's how the tribunal looked like. You could see the entire ingame chat (not the afterlobby nor the champ select) You could see how many reports the player got in how many games recently, you could either vote for punish, not punish or skip the case if you didn't want to do this case. The tribunal was not flawless, if someone was unlucky and got voted for punish by the majority, he was punished, sometimes this could lead to getting punished for something that the new feedback system wouldn't punish for, but sometimes you would get away with it.

While its been gone for three years doesnt mean they have been working on it for a full three years. As far as i know it was suppose to get worked on once the new client was out. Why make them rush something as serious that could harm the community if done wrong. I mean if you can make something as big as that in a small amount of time by all means contact Riot and ask for the position to be hired. If not then sadly we have to wait till the work is finish. We live in this world now that people want a product out so fast they dont care if it works or not because it can be updated, or fix. Thats the whole point of taking down the Tribunal in the first place. It was an old system and highly unreliable. People abused their power to punish people especially since you gotten IP for getting the correct verdict.

The old tribunal, a system where the community voted on what they considered to be toxic, was replaced with an automated system with no human input that looks for combinations of phrases and/or number of reports and/or who's reporting. As much as riot denies it, this system does issue incorrect punishment, and they won't remove it even when they admit it's incorrect.

Tribunal allowed humans to look at the whole picture and determine if it warranted a punishment. The bot looks at if enough other people in specific games got pissed off enough to report, and uses that to determine it. It's a horrible system.
