Hi, not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I've recently had a 10 game chat restriction. I am 100% convinced that this was an unjust ban. I'll post the log shortly, the context was fairly obvious, and my behaviour is a little toxic I will admit, but the Varuses behaviour was about 100 times more toxic. First of all he was in the wrong in regards to who should be where, second, he stole all the CS he could and gloated about it at every turn. He trolled and spammed in caps in all chat whenever I left the lane to gank. He also threatened to feed. Then, the enemy team said they were reporting me for whinging about it. Now I know what you might say "Just mute him and move on" Well he still stole the lane and ruined the game, so there wasn't much I could do about that, so I just wanted to see him punished, and now I got punished.

I don't want to seem like I'm making threats or what have you, but if this is the way that players who are the RECIPIENTS of toxic behaviour are treated, I'm quitting the game on principle, simple as that, I'll go back to Dota 2.

Also, I'm unclear on exactly what I was banned for, is it swearing? I've seen lots and lots of swearing in my short amount of time playing, is that really a bannable offense?

Threatening people with reports is negative and a punishable offense. The report system is there to solve problems, not harass people and create drama. If you have a problem with a player's behavior, ask them respectfully to stop; if they won't, then mute and report them without saying anything about it.

Even without that, almost your entire use of chat is insulting other players and being passive-aggressive. That won't solve your problem with a player taking your role or playing poorly. More likely it will cause them to play worse and direct their anger at you, and make you an annoyance to the rest of your team.

Someones behaviour doesn't entitle you to be toxic. Both of you should've been punished.

It's really not worth your effort to try and fight it, particularly if it's just a chat restriction for 10 games.

Riot wants you to treat other people like they are ~6 years old so you'll want to either adjust how you interact with them or be prepared to get restrictions and other penalties, etc.
