Chat Removal

Ok so I've been a gamer for going on 20+ years now, and I've seen every type and style of game from text to MMO's and everything in between. The thing is this game seems to have the most toxic community I've encountered by far, and it doesn't really have to be. See I understand their thinking when they first put chat in, they thought it would be a means of communication but now it serves no purpose other then to have flame wars. Now pings cover pretty much anything you need to say and the people who are expert enough to need direct communication have a number of chat programs that they all use. Which brings me to another game, gremlins inc. So in this game the entire point is to basically beat everyone down by depriving them of things, and as such naturally everyone gets pissed as the game progresses. However they did something very clever, instead of putting a chat in they just let you use emojis and nothing else. So it got me the thinkin, what's the real point of chat in this game? I mean they get rid of it and 90% of the toxicity in this game instantly goes out the window. Just some food for thought.

IMO, that should be left up to the players. Disabling /all chat is one checkbox, and it takes less than a second to mute toxic summoners.

There is no need to go full Blizzard and remove the ability of people to communicate because some people choose to misuse it. Besides, pings aren't enough.

You can't tell your mid that they've got two coming for a gank, but that they can handle it, be ready.

You can't ask a teammate to switch up their usual build because of tactics or builds on the other side.

And so on.

Besides, watching them cry in here that they got the hammer for being jerks is high-quality entertainment :)
