I am extremely disappointed in LoL customer service

so a few days ago i go to my account and i see player banned and i'm level 13-14 and i just wondered what i did, it said i was scripting or "using third party programs" so i was shocked i just got banned for something i didn't even do. if you look back at my games which riot can do (and i sent the customer representative a copy of my recent game i was going to show my LoL coach who gets videos of my games and tells me what i did wrong because i'm really bad and i just need help) you could see that i'm not scripting i'm actually playing quite badly getting hit with every swain ability because i still don't know what he really does, but i digress i contacted one of the riot employees to clear this up explaining my situation sending screenshots sending my recent match and i get an automated message:

didn't even look at the evidence, now i'm a mother i have two teenage boys i like to hop on their desktop and play alot of league (sometimes they yell at me for being on their computer and not getting the housework done haha) and i also work for a fashion design company and if one of our clients came up to us and said they didn't like the line of clothing or a certain design we had created for them and gave us a valid reason on why under NO circumstances would i say "sorry i looked into your claims twice and they are invalid we did make the right clothing to represent your line/company so we are not changing it" i would get fired in a heartbeat i know games are sorta different but you got to tell the customer why you did what you did what evidence is against them not i know i'm right so shut up, i am upset by the way this situation was handled, i presented evidence it was ignored and i was sent an automated message...league you got to step up your customer service game you cant keep treating your customers like this.

does that look like someone who is manipulating their game i don't even know how scripts work i still have a little trouble downloading things online my son would be horribly mad if i gave his $2k gaming computer a virus. scripts are suppose to make you go 20/0 and i keep getting killed and going 1/6 and i played horribly against that swain last game i played.

i'm just saying this is not how you handle your customers i didn't even get a counter argument just a no.

Riot bans in waves. This means you could have been detected months ago and RIot just now decided it was time to punish you. This is so script makers and other 3rd party software developers can't effectively diagnose how they got detected.

So a single video of a recent game is not even close to being evidence.

First of all the system has a track record of being near perfect in detecting these things. Second of all, why do you assume they didn't recheck the evidence?

Maybe one of your boys had installed something. The popular scripting programs don't even need to be running to be detected anymore, just having them installed is grounds for suspension.

That's the worst metaphor I have ever heard. Your job revolves around subjective opinions. Whether you used 3rd party programs or not is not an opinion.

I won't shut up. You posted on a discussion board, and I'm here for discussion. They absolutely under NO circumstances should give you any evidence they have. It would just serve to compromise their future investigations.

You presented no evidence. A video isn't evidence. If you had a video of all games you ever played then sure, that would be evidence. But a single video is not evidence.

I think the support rep handled it nicely. Just because you got told 'no' doesn't mean it's bad support.

I don't mean to judge or be offensive in any way, but let me just get this straight:

Your a mom of 2 teenagers, one of whom has a 2k gaming computer (so I assume one of them atleast is around 15-16 of age), you are level 13-14 and you for some reason have a LoL coach, you don't know what scripts do, but know what they're supposed to do?

You have to agree that this story sounds abit sketchy, but nevertheless I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it's true.

But, there is a small hope.

Once there was a bug that made some innocent software trigger the system. Riot fixed the system and undid all bans caused by the bug.

If this is what happened to you I expect to see atleast a 100+ posts about people having gotten wrongly banned, as that's what happened last time. I also expect you to get unbanned.

That said, as it stands we have no incentive to believe you and even if we did, we wouldn't be able to help you sorry :/

well damn, you didn't have to be so rude about it, i'm not asking you to believe me if you think this 40 year old woman is a scripting master i mean go ahead let your imagination run wild if i was guilty i wouldn't write a long post to the boards and provide the community and the woman handling my case with "fake proof?" (i.e my actual match history and for the lady a game replay file the exact file riot gives you the um rofl? file is it it) i use you cellphone to game alot i mean i use the internet on it where you have to download a program that gets tethering off the hotspot so you can use it on a computer

People have done exactly that a 1000 times here on boards, and the vast majority of those people were lying.

I never said your proof was fake, just that it was insufficient. A rofl file doesn't contain information regarding scripts. Depending on the script it would be impossible to spot just by viewing it as a spectator. There are scripts that are just overlays with information (a script can add up all the damage of your spells, and calculate for you if you have enough damage to kill someone). 3rd party apps also refer to programs that allows you to use skins made by Riot without paying for them.

And as I mentioned, Riot bans in waves. You could have been detected months ago, and just now punished. So videos and replay files are nearly useless in the context of evidence.

i have had that account for less than a month i'm just sick of this i want my account back and people accusing me of scripting and hiring challengers to go into my lvl 14 BOT games just to cs is just not helping they bring up my bot games way too much like i cant go 20/1 with a bot i'm sick of it, if you think i'm lying cool fine im just sick of being called a lying scripter when i'm just trying to enjoy the game and please understand that its hard to do that when i get banned for doing nothing i've given you guys everything even my chrome history of me practicing cs i don't know what else to show you guys I WASN'T SCRIPTING

The problem is you can't prove it. I understand you are mad, but there is literally nothing we can do.

But you also have games that you got 10/0/0 as ashe with 9.8 cs/min in a 24 min game. That rate of cs is equivalent to the 4th best ADC in the NALCS. Your current games are roughly 1/4 of that rate (more on par with a player learning). You either had someone else playing on your account or you were scripting.

To be fair, that's a co-op vs AI game.

Though on the other hand, 9.8 cs/min is hard to get even as a decent player free-farming their lane, let alone for a newbie, bot opponents or no.

The first non-coop game is a 3/1/4 ashe game with a 7.2 cspm which is still phenomenally high for a new player.

EDIT: To compare to the most recent win, a 1/5/5 Cait game with a 2.1 cspm.

If OP never did you any scripts it's possible one of her kids did and used the account to do so (violating ToS on multiple fronts) but there is def something fishy with the games played earlier this month.

I've been trying to get better cs I've been watching a youtube and reading articles and practicing cs to be fair i did make it to bronze 5 last year but i couldn't get out my son cleared his computer for whatever reason and i had to re download it and i didn't know my password and i have so many emails and i just gave up and made a new one and i got so sick of being bad i hired a coach to rewatch my games i learned alot about trading stance and people put so much emphasis on farming that i thought i should farm the whole game damn, it was hard but i don't know how i am expected to farm and poke at the same time i'm still working on it.

i don't know half of what you are saying about forth greatest ADC and NALCS im just a 40 year old woman who plays LoL on my sons computer i don't believe in downloading a game just to have other people play on it for you it makes no sense why would you do that? but thank you so much on my 10/0/0 BOT game as Ashe i don't know why you would pay to have someone play a bot game for you or script a bot game? but i have been working hard on my CS i actually wasent focusing on kills i heard you are suppose to get 100 cs in 10min so i studied how much base dmg ashe's arrows do her auto attack then when they get a little below average health i shoot em i know her attack animation is slow so i take that into account sometimes it gets frustrating but i manage, i'm just so happy that my hard work with cs is paying off thank you so much i dont know about the NALCS and stuff but i mean i think i can get there, and for the consistency i know i have an issue i get so caught up in getting kills i end up going 1/5/0 throwing myself into the enemy team and forgetting entirely about farming and i think 150ish cs in 20 min is okay but again i wouldn't want to hire anyone on a bot game and those challenger players who come on my account and play for me a lvl 13 and godlike scrips are not doing me much good because i still go 1/11 in my games boy i need to fire them i thought having faker come onto my account playing against bots would help but i guess i was wrong let me call him up and fire him and those godlike scripts i got from god knows where that would give my son a virus i need to uninstall them haha im just joshing you

but it does mean alot that you think i'm good and that my cs practice with bots was good thanks! but seriously i wish i had my account back i didn't do anything wrong :( Ashe

What I am saying is that over the past month your cs rate has declined from 7+ cspm all the way down to 2cspm. The fact that you seem to be trying to improve (to the point of having a coach) and rather than improving you are actively getting massively worse is what stands out to me. You played 2 PvP games with Ashe on 2/2, the first game you had 158 cs in 22 min (very impressive numbers), the second game you had 159 cs in 42 min (what I would expect from someone in B5)! Since that first Ashe game (and all of the bot games) you have been struggling to even break 100cs in any game. I find it hard to believe that someone had the mechanical ability to cs at a rate of 7+ cspm once and then never even come close again. There is something fishy about that first Ashe game on 2/2 that doesn't match up with the skill level displayed by you in subsequent games or what should be expected given your claimed skill level.

Your edit doesn't answer why you immediately forgot how to cs after 1 game. You in the span of 8 days you went from 7.1 cs per minute on Ashe all the way down to 2.7 cs per min with the same champ.

they don't tell you the details involving scripts because they think that if you ARE using scripts, the information about how you got detected will be used to make your script less detectable. so that's why

as far as my undertsanding goes, they don't issue these bans unless they are sure that something is up

you mentioned you use your son's computers. maybe they have scripts or something that might look like a script to riot and that's what hapened...

"using third party programs" doesn't reffer only to scripts but to other programs that people might use.

you are comparing problems with clothes with problems with an account

you are welcome to compare clothes with champion skins but don't jump the fence like that...

You mentioned that you're using your sons' computer, there is a chance that it may be the whatever that's in your son's computer that's for some reason interacting with League's client for unknown reasons which is then picked up by the system and assumed to be a script; because the League clients can not see how it is attacked, it can only see whether there is something trying to alter its files without official acknowledgement, and anything that tries to override the League's crucial files and data are all assumed to be offence of this category.

I am not sure if the computer is infected and the virus attempts to do things to League files would be interpreted by the system as hacking, but I can only guess that it probably counts as such.

Lastly, this is not to accuse that your son is a cheater, but if they do use scripts on their computer to cheat on whatever game, and it's open in the background or something, it may still be interacting with the game even if you're not actively using it; which may result in the detection and ban.

Go check games from early this month, there are 3 games in a row with 200+ cs in sub 30 min games and massive perfect KDAs

Wow your kids complain to you about YOU NOT DOING HOUSEWORK??? Put those kids to work!! Wtf!!!!! Please, please don't let them talk to you like that. We have enough entitled, spoiled brats in the world. Make them do the housework. It's your duty as a parent.

As to your actual point, yes your match history does look like that of a scripter, or someone sharing an account/getting boosted, at the very least.

They aren't gonna describe to you how they detected your third party programs, because that gives cheaters some insight into how their programs get detected, obviously. Then they can make adjustments to their programs and avoid detection, until Riot then improves/modifies their detection systems. So yeah, that's just how it is in this business I guess. Things have to be shrouded in secrecy, unlike your business where they're shrouded in totally fab clothes ;)

I'm sorry to hear they banned you. My situation is about the same and I feel like they really ripped me off.

From what other users here have said, their system basically just bans poorly performing players on the grounds that they're too similar to bots, and the staff doesn't care when they're wrong.

Maybe it's for the best, though. It sounds like the game was taking up a lot of your time, so maybe it'll be good to be free of it?

thank you for understanding and believing me when i'm telling the truth i just don't understand how people think i'm some scripting god when i do good in bot games and i do use a anti tethering program fort my phones hotspot when i use hotspot for my sons computer when the wifi is down but that's about it

yes the staff doesn't care and these people comment on my post like i'm some scripter or i pay someone to play on my lvl 13 account dosen't help either

and i'm sorry they did that to you too this company is so bad i try to stop playing and focus on housework in my spare time but the game draws me back in again

I guess let me ask a simple question -- How did you go from building correctly and getting scores that were 25/1, 20/3, 10/0 etc... To building completely incorrectly, switching your summoners and going 1/7, 3/10, 0/6?

well when i play against Bots they are not humans they are rarely harassing me i get to free farm and focus on farming i'm not focusing on what i'm building i'm just building recommended without a care in the world just trying to level up but when i go in to PVP i get harassed zoned from farm struggling to catch up i get hit every time i walk up to cs making it really hard and is it bad to switch my summoner spells i dont like going into PVP with summoner 7 and summoner 6 can i take something a little more practical like summoner 7 and summoner 3 when i finally am able to get it and i'm not a god i make mistakes i'm practicing on not dying but i get greedy and i make stupid mistakes im playing against humans now after all

You don't take heal and exhaust though like ever you take flash and ignite every time. Also I would really recommend you stop building duskblade on your Ashe and Cait.

The account seems suspicious but obviously I can't run a patch upon update like League did on your computer to identify the extra add-ons. My recommendation would be to 1) look through your match history and make sure you recognize every game and 2) if your sons use your computer, ask them if they installed anything on it specific to League.

FYI -- freaking out and typing in all caps is not only useless but also makes you look foolish and is disappointing to see if you're a parent.
