Unfair ban

So I received a notice on Monday saying I got a 14 day ban. I was banned for verbal abuse. However, on my last game I was not the one who initiated the verbal abuse. My top laner was playing very recklessly and kept feeding the enemy team. He was spam pinging the jungler and flamed the jungler for not ganking. I told him to relax and play safe when he started to curse at my in Chinese and broken English. This went on for another quite some time and I eventually started to curse at him as well. Then my supporter and Mid laner also joined in and started cursing at me as well. At the end of the game, I reported all 3 of them for verbal abuse but instead I was the one that got the ban. How is this fair that I got banned because 2 other Chinese guys were backing up his friend? Yes I should've just kept quite but the fact that I got banned because of this is ridiculous and biased.

It does not matter who initiated the verbal abuse/toxicity, it only matters who took part in it. Making or contributing to a negative environment for other players in the game is never acceptable, be it that you initiated the negativity or contributed to it. Riot punishes those who retaliate or fight back with negativity just as hard as they punish those who initiate negativity - because both of them ruin the game for others.

Two wrongs don't make a right. It's not biased when you did the exact same thing you expect other players to be banned for. If anything, if you didn't get punished it'd be biased.

Ask yourself why you should be immune to the rules?

That's why you can mute all those options now.

I get where CreamySoda is coming from. There's a huge number of Chinese players who just attack one person as a group regardless whether you are on their team or not. This usually results in a ban since there are more than one player reporting you. When you mute them, they report you for not communicating with teammates. Instead of banning just one player, everyone should've gotten banned in my opinion.

Reread your initial post, let me sum it up:

1 player gets toxic You reply the same 2 others start flamming

This is one reason why Riot punishes that behavior. Don't fed the the troll.

okay so i reported all 3 of them but didn't get any notification that my report did anything to them. So if riot equally punish everyone, why was I the only who got the ban? Why wasn't the other players receive the same punishment? That is what I'm mainly complaining about. Yeah I got the ban for my behavior but Riot is letting the other players off?
