Toxic vs Rudeness

So I was wondering does anyone know the real line between being toxic, and being rude? A lot of people define it differently but in my opinion calling one of your teammates bad one time isn't toxic but to some people it is. So can anyone tell me the real difference between toxicity and rudeness? thanks

Honestly I think the difference is entirely based on your level of sensitivity. The same things could be toxic to one person, but only kind of rude to another.

I'll pretty much mute anyone who is saying stuff where I start to feel compelled to respond to them, because at that point I'll start to spend too much time typing and not enough time playing, and it's possible to get tilted off that crap anyway. It's simply not worth it.

One of them people understand the true meaning of the word, the other one gets tossed around overly loosely regardless whether what was said is truely what it means.

Seriously though, If i were to define toxicity, i'd say being rude is a sub-category of toxicity. As we (as a community) define toxicity as rudeness, sarcasm, passive-aggressive speech, negative and unsportsmanslike speech.
