Should you get a ban for chat?

A few days ago I was banned for Unsportsmanlike conduct. It really came as a surprise considering my account has received zero punishments out of all my time playing this game. I'm not crying and saying I don't deserve punishment, but a ban doesn't make sense to me for chat. A ban, in my opinion, should only come when someone actually ruins the game. For example; Intentionally feeding. Sure, people can get angry over chat, but there's always a mute button. You do not have to see anyone's chat ever if you really wanted to avoid it. The 2 week ban is also very inconvenient for me, as I bought a one-month XP boost. Now half of it goes to waste.** Let me be clear, I deserved punishment.** I just don't think a 2 week ban was the right kind.

Paulie: Shitty leash inc Toxic Paulie: Haha Why is this on here? Paulie: agreed Why is this on here?
Paulie: kys Toxic Paulie: kys. Toxic Paulie: retard Toxic
Paulie: bg ehhh Paulie: trash team Salty

This was one game, the only chat logs given. You can see why I was surprised.

2 week ban or chat restriction? Which is more suitable?

Just because you were only given these chat logs for one game, doesnt mean that it was the only thing to contribute to your punishment. With that said. a Chat Restriction is for people who might be going off a little. Im not sure about you, but im sure most people dont need to be given a warning to NOT tell someone to KYS. Why do you think you need a chat restriction for this when it wouldnt have helped?

Not really no.

You said kys twice, it's not acceptable once let alone twice.

You were also creating a negative environment as well as mildly harassing the person/people in game.

It's really no surprise you got a ban at all.

A ban, in my opinion, should only come when someone actually ruins the game.

Having to have somebody harass other players, be toxic and telling people to kill themselves doea ruin the game that's kind of the point.

If somebody in game is being toxic and not even to me it does ruin the game because it ruins the mood and nobody wants to play with that guy that's being a jerk even if you have a valid reason for doing so it negatively impacts the game there for ruins it.

I'm sorry guys but you really don't have that much of a say to what I'm going to point out. In ranked games, you see toxicity almost constantly. As you climb, it gets worse and once your team starts losing someone who is tilted will just go off. They'll either intentionally feed or freak out and flame a teammate, most likely the one who is feeding the most. You don't see this much in Bronze/Silver, usually everyone is playing Team Deathmatch and not trying to end the game. In gold, there is improvement but this rank is also pretty bad as you climb it. I find it around gold II and gold I, people tilt pretty quickly with a couple of losses. They continue to play, feed because they're not at their best and then blame teammates they have for losing, ultimately flaming them. In gold however, people try to group and end but there's that one teammate that just isn't down to group and end, they get flamed and they will flame back. Now, platinum is the most fun. Platinum overall has a majority of toxic people. It gets so much worse as you climb, Plat II and Plat I are easily the worst ranks in the game. I guarantee every game has a toxic/flaming people in them once you're in platinum. If it's not your team, it's the other one. Now, we're all trying to get to diamond since we're literally at the footstep now, under all the pressure to get diamond (especially before season ends). Once someone starts to make you lose, someone just cracks. They go off on how they're better than everyone else, and how shitheads like his team (me) are holding him back. In many cases, people will say kill yourself even though it might not be the exact words, the message is all the same. Now, I report every single time someone on my team is flaming unless the enemy is flaming in all chat, and guess how many times they've done it over the course of the year. Twice. They've only punished two people over the course of the year that I had the joy of meeting in a RANKED COMPETITIVE game. This man gets banned in one game for saying something I get told every game by my teammates. This just hurts me.

Side note, people who intentionally feed in your games really don't get banned. Instead, it's your fault for flaming them after they've already ruined the game for you in RANKED COMPETITIVE. The chances of you getting banned are higher than the one who pushed you over the edge. This game is really amazing.

Truth hurts. I keep it real. Most kids these days are too cowardly to do that. Sorry if your fragile ego can't handle it. Move on. I just got another flamer banned last game just now too. Mentally ill. Unparented. Crying like I touched his sister in her no-no spot and violated her "privacy." felt good. I'm sorry but I'm getting a kick out of this now.
