With season 8 recently coming out, i thought it would be necessary to share my expertise on dealing with Tilt and stress in general while playing League of Legends. As you all can see from my past posts. I Wasn't the most controlling of my emotions. Recently, within the past year; i learned how to manage my stress and anger in league matches. The following Post is only a recommendation on how to deal with your Rage and tilt. I hope that i can teach at least one of you to be, Untiltable.

Note: sorry for posting in wrong section

  • Tilting and Why Its Bad

Tilting or in proper terms, “Raging” is actually a natural part of human emotions. It comes from our “Ride or Die” emotion. For those who don't know what “Ride or Die” is; it's basically A huge amount of adrenaline that goes into your body. This allows you to perform, almost inhuman physical tasks. Instead of this adrenaline going to your muscles, it sifers off into the part of the brain called the Amygdala. When this happens it takes almost entire control of you other emotions, changing them into anger. Now, why this is VERY bad for you. It can lead to high blood pressure, that leads to organ problems; as well as weight gain. Something that coincides with both those subjects is heart attacks. And if you are an older League player you’re at more of a risk.

  • Tilting Practice

Now with the more morbid side of this forum post out of the way, let's talk about how to tilt less. Despite what people say about being angry, it's quite easy to control with practise. One easy way to start your Tilting Practice is to enter a league match and keep your chat open AT ALL TIMES! I can't stress this enough (sorry pun not intended.) if someone is yelling at you or anyone in the game. PLEASE ignore it. It's going to be VERY hard at first if you have a history of Tilting; but Believe me it's worth it if you want to rank up in your league games. Tilting is not just in league, it's also in our day to day lives. If you REALLY want the best way to learn how to not tilt, your going to need someone you hate with all your fists. But, for the love of whatever you believe in. Start small, talk to someone that bothers you just a little, then work your way up to the “Grand Rant.” Once you can learn to master the Grand Rant, you will surely be able to call yourself Untiltable.

  • Extra: General Improvement to Gameplay

I thought this would be a good section to add, because the forum has too many threads already so why not put more into a single post. This section will cover mostly real life ways to improve your gameplay; to lead you to higher elos. Drink Lots Of Water. It's no mystery that if your dehydrated you’re going to perform at a lower capacity that you want to. I recommend keeping AT LEAST one liter of water in some sort of container/containers. This way you can drink water while you play. Be **CAREFUL **that you keep your water relatively close, but not close enough to where you can spill it onto any of your electronics (i care for you and your hard earned money.) After every game, refill your water.

Listen To Calming Music. Personally i enjoy youtube.com/collegemusic they have one of the most calming music selections i have found.

Drink Natural Caffeine. We all know how much caffeine is in almost every energy drink. Altho they are good for boosting your energy, they don't last as long as you would think. Tea and Coffee, are the two “Natural Caffeine” providers you should look towards; mainly tea. But please, Learn your limit, like with all drugs Caffeine can be addictive. **NOTE: Not all Tea is caffeinated. **

Meditation. If you are mentally sound and center, calm, and relaxed; this will **GREATLY **improve gameplay; if you do it right.

**Wrist And Hand Health. **This is not as important as the rest, but it is needed to be written. Playing large time periods of video games, can lead to long term problems in your hands and wrists. Ex: carpal tunnel. Some good stretches and therapy to do before games or whenever are as follow. Extend your hands in front of you, with your fingers upright. Slowly make a fist, and roll down. Not too hard tho. Then ungrasp and slowly move back up. Another way is to buy a “DynaFlex Pro Gyro” this allows you to strengthen your hand muscles and a fast or slow rate, determined by how fast you roll your wrist. (it's also a forearm workout.) If you can buy one of the Gyros, then you can as easily substitute it, with a tennis ball or Lacrosse ball, or whatever fits comfortably in your palm.

Well fellow summoners, thank you for reading, and i hope this helps you reach higher elos. Best Wishes. odog
