What's the deal with the 14 day ban for this?

If you're wondering, game 1 our mid laner fed his lamer and refused to leave lane or push on roams. He was 2-6 at like 10 minutes borderline afk under tower flame bot for dying to two 4 mans and being... 3-5 combined. Ya. Jungle decided to tank and kill their jgler. Instead of following his team to dragon, he did krugs. We got wiped lost dragon. Sorry if stating "drugs for drag" was a nice trade. Mid begins to flame me, Jenna, for not using shields on her on a dive two towers deep. Me, precedes to ping oom for my E and my it on cd. Get flamed by mind, who says "if you won't use abilities, neither will I". And I'm the toxic one.

Game 2: hover fiora in champ select. Support waits til the end and bans it from me. Okay, didn't want me to play it? Ask me.... I tell her okay fine you ban my champ I'll play riven. By no means am I good at riven. I also tried, but died a fair amount. Support says I should have dodged when they banned my champion..... what? Why would I dodge champ select because you decided to be an asshole?? They justify with you don't have any games played on her. Is that a fair reason to troll me? Doubt. I died less then her duo queue, Ashe. Suggested maybe support bans out her champion next time. Super toxic. I didn't intentionally feed. I got stomped playing a champion I didn't want to play because someone else decided to try and make me play something they wanted. Do these earn me a two week for unsportsmanlike? I'm no shining star, I have my moments, but do these 2 games justify that as my first ban?

My only advice that I give people that seem to not be able to resist typing in chat too much.

You know you can mute right? Lol come on stop being foolish. You can easily turn the flame off with one command.

Hell, they even have nice little mute buttons right beside their champs on the Tab screen! So easy mate!

So still your fault man. Please don't use that as an excuse when you know you can mute people and not have to hear one word from them again in game.

You know, honestly I like interacting with chat. Some things can't be explained without it, like go here then go here; or when she uses blink, go in. I'm not playing stupid, I genuinely don't enjoy playing without chat. The fact that chat can go from gj, let's do dragon to stop feeding top, tops so shit in an instant makes me stand up for myself. Don't play high horse, you're probably no white knight either. No need to be cynical when your advice is "Can't resist typing? Don't type."

Funny, I am honor five and NEVER been punished or notified of being reported. I actually live by my saying thank you or I would not say it.

Only things I say in chat, from start to finish on a usual game.

"Gl hf all :-)"

Movement Ping ping my wards "Going to Ward" If I get caught out on a dumb play "Mb"

I flame myself more than any teammate. Because I am responsible for my own play. "Damn, not playing my best. Mb team. Going to play it safe."

"gj team"

"ty"

"np"

"Don't worry, we are still good. We got this."

"nice work"

"gg all!"

And there you have it. I am on no high horse. I am just giving you the advice that has helped me not get reported, not get banned and generally be known as a good teammate.

If you don't want to accept it, well there is a reason you are banned.

Did you have a 25 game chat restriction before this?

If yes, then that's why. This behaviour is unacceptable and you didn't learn from the previous punishment, so this one is harsher.

If no, then idk.

Nope. No previous punishments beyond the penalty for dodging a queue. Can't say I've had the chance to reform as I haven't been punished before.

I've played myself. Honestly wish I could disable/enable it from outside in the client so I couldn't enable it while I was in game lul.

My guess, and it is only a guess, is that the reason it was 14 is that it appears you are trolling Game 2. It appears supp banned your pick so you picked a champion you aren't very good at as "pay back". It is possible that you just had a bad Riven game, but your chat seems to imply you did it on purpose to punish your team. You are allowed to ban anyone you like, even if a player is hovering it (though it might be in bad taste). You aren't allowed to purposely throw games.

Didn't purposely throw. Actually tried, albeit played poorly and made mistakes in lane resulting in a pretty bad outcome in laning phase. Dunno how purposefully banning what I want to play isn't unsportsmanlike....

The reason it is not unsportsmanlike is because there are reasons why one might ban your pick. Likewise, Riot has given each player a day in what champ they don't want to have in their game. That's not to say that someone might do it to be an ass, and if they make that clear, I believe that would be reportable.

You may SAY on the boards you were trying your hardest with Riven, but absolutely none of your chat confirms that. In fact it implies you arent. Almost the entirety of your chat is saying "Well this is what you get when you ban Fiora, you get "my riven". You seem to imply "your riven" means your teammates are going to lose LP and the game is lost.

I could be wrong of course, but your chat, which is what you are judged on, does nothing to support the ideas you are presenting here

The chat we see only tells 1/5th of the story. I see what you're saying, it doesn't help to prove my point however the gameplay stands, I play my games intending to win.

Does that sound like you are about to play your best Riven, or does it sound like "my riven" is a term for screw you guys?

I mean come on now, you were pissed (understandably) so you picked a champ to F around on. If you hadn't made it so apparent in chat I am guessing you wouldn't have been banned... at least not for this game.

Probably, will have to keep my thoughts to myself. My Riven is a bit different from mobi 5 tear ghost cleanse nunu though. Ever see Youmuus video where he got a ban for saying "sorry for inting" or something similar, sorta the same here lol.

Aye, like I said, I am not questioning your commitment to winning. I am just saying the chat doesn't help, and in the end, is what I think hit you with the 14.

Likewise, I don't want to see you lose your account, as I find you a player much like myself. So after your ban you really need to be on church boy mode for awhile.

After a 14 day ban you will, let me emphasize that, WILL get a perm for things that would normally not trigger. This board is full of people who didn't take the 14 serious and were quickly permed on some really moderately tame logs.

Honestly, I don't like being jostled around. If I feel like this one guy is making me out to be at fault, I'm shutting that down (and in due course escalating it....)

I hate to say it but if someone had banned my champ, I just go to my secondary or dodge. Yes it is bad sportsmanship for them to ban your champ and maybe dodging would have been the better solution. Yes, dodging sucks but it would have saved you that game.

Just a suggestion beyond just don't respond to flamers.

Ah... Yeah. That does suck. And it sucks to grin and bear it. But unfortunately that is exactly what you have to do in this game sometimes.

I really hope for your success in the future man. Just don't let them get to you. Our natural response is to respond back but that is just not the right move to make in League.
