Banning and Fraud

Hi everyone,

I haven't played LoL for a while, but received some electronic receipts for purchasing $5 worth of RP multiple times. Because this was weird I logged in to check that i didn't have my credit card numbers linked with the account (which I did not)

At 3 am last night whilst I was asleep i received a ban message stating:

Due to the severity of this violation, your League of Legends account has been banned until Thu Jan 01 00:00:00 UTC 9001.

I'd like to know what is going on...

If you purchased RP then disputed it with you card company, Riot will ban whatever account the chargeback was associated with until they get the money.

It's a chargeback thing. I don't truly understand how it works but I know enough to say that almost certainly, given your description. File a support ticket and get it figured out.

Did you share your account with anyone? Was the $5 purchases made on your credit card or with something else but credited the RP to your account? You can sort it out with Rito support.
