Why should I get a que timer for a troll pick in champ select?

So, just a second ago, my friend and I were in champ select and this guy locked in Soraka as jungle not realizing he was jungle, instead of support. Instead of dodging he changed his summoner spell to smite and said that we should play the game. I can't help but feel that it's dumb that either my friend or I should have to dodge because of this guy's mistake. This has been an issue since the game came out and I think it's time Riot implements a vote system so players that don't want to lose LP and waste time to a troll pick aren't punished for dodging.

its an imperfect system there is currently no way for the system to detect a troll therefore if you configure it it will go for all dodging and can be heavily abused

SO say if a premade of 4 decides to be a bunch of dicks and kick 1 person and get him punished that person will take a hit for something he didnt even do

So, I am assuming this was a normals so........

  1. On one of the /allchat shows they had a "will it jungle?" thing and Soraka was one of them. They said it worked decent but she was pretty much a global healer at that point running everywhere.
  2. Soraka jungle CAN work just fine, it is not exactly a troll pick, seeing as every champion can be played everywhere, just some do better than others. Never know if you dont try. Thus, you can not just consider it a troll pick just because you are wanting to complain about people "not playing meta". Dont be so petty.
  3. If you dodge, you get a queue timer, if you dodge too many times, you get low priority queue. You are wanting to take this out that reduces the amount of trolls who leave in queues to make people wait longer, thus potentially having to wait 30 minutes to get into a game that a troll is not queue dodging.
  4. If you are going to just say whoever is not being meta is a troll, then you can also bring that up with the LCS player that used Miss Fortune support and made it popular..... It is a troll pick if you have no clue why they did it, but they obviously knew and did well im guessing because it was so popular for a long while. There is no such thing as a "troll pick" if they play well, you just assume they wont when they could carry you.

shyt happens. i dont think it was intentional . no need to get panties in a twist over it. you chose to dodge the game therefore you occur the penalty for doing so. its a choice you made. dont get tilted just move along.

This is one of the reason why we have a dodge penalty as well as not being able to report people in champ select. He made a mistake, but came back from it. Soraka jungle can work, heck basically any one can go Jungle. But to assume he is trolling over making a mistake is just wrong. I would assume someone who knows how a champion works inside and out can basically play them in any role. It could have worked had you saw him play. But you assumed he must be a troll because he was playing a champion you didnt like in a role.

Because it would be abused and every none meta pick would get kicked. -wanna pick something off meta?

  • team kicks you -pick a support your team doesnt want? -team kicks you

This can be abused so hard, there's a reason there still is no system to counter it because unfortunately there is no way for the game to know if someone trolls or just goes something unique.
