Why is this community so unfair?

In my opinion this system what riot games has really unfair. People even report me when i ask "can you buy sightstone" or when i ask "can you ward when i play adc". People flame me everyday and riot just says i have to mute them cause otherwise i get banned. What is that for stupid rule? When somebody punch you in the face in real life you punch back to defend yourself. Why are players who defending them self get banned when other players are asking for a fight? I think this game would be more fun if the chat bar would be removed. If you mute people every time then you get banned for not communicate with the team really wtf.

Why is every example of word spraying always resulting in someone being punched in the face irl.....

You can not get banned for saying nothing inside the game

Lol you can. I don't know where you got that? My friend showed me a picture that he was banned because he muted everybody every singel game so? I believe what i see, not what i hear.

Can I be punished for saying nothing or if multiple people report me?

Actually, Erdrik is correct here.

A report flags a game for review. They do not establish guilt. The game is then reviewed for harassment, feeding, etc. This is why 'troll reporting' or 'gang reporting' do not work. False or inaccurate reports are thrown out.

You cannot ever be punished for saying nothing .. unless of course it's for something gameplay related like feeding, afking or cheating. But, you can never be punished for offensive language, hate speech or verbal abuse if you said nothing.

In short, no and no.

"Defending yourself" implies that your attacking them back might somehow mitigate the abuse and prevent it from happening in the future. When you retaliate with negative behavior in the game, you aren't doing either of those things; you actually tend to perpetuate and inflame the issue.

Muting, however, immediately stops their verbal abuse and is more likely to result in them stopping and focusing more on the game because you won't respond. Reporting them helps build a case against them so that they can be punished to prevent that behavior in the future.

Basically, your retaliation is likely to have the exact opposite effect of what you intend.

I have reported people who wished me cancer and wished me to death and riot games did nothing? So reporting people who say stuff what can really hurt you, they don't do anything about it? And it's true my friend got banned for not communicate with the team because he /ignoreall every game so, it's true.

Riot's punishment system gives players a considerable amount of leniency; a case must be built up against the player before their reported matches are reviewed, rather than simply punishing people every time they receive a single valid report. A single misstep with toxic behavior doesn't warrant a punishment most of the time, but if they are a frequent problem your reports will contribute to their case so they may be punished later.

You are only notified of a punishment when your report is the last straw which triggered it. As long as you make accurate reports they will add to the player's case for review. Not getting a message doesn't mean they will get away with their behavior.

I provided a Riot source saying otherwise. If you have any evidence of your friend being punished for not communicating then it's an unprecedented case which I'd love to see. More likely he's not being entirely honest about the reason for his punishment.

In real life, if someone punches you and you punch back, both will get nabbed by the police.

You can defend you in LOL, but there is no need to counter attack.

In fact, what are you defending against? In real life, your life may be in danger, in game only your ego is in danger.

I'll bust your myth already, reports don't do anything to you if you didn't do anything wrong.

well, you can defend yourself as I have done so many many many times and my account is still fine. I just don't counter attack.

You certainly have the right to punch him back, you just have to deal with the consequences later.

But you can believe whatever you want in regards to the behavioral system, it's the internet afterall. We know that you don't get banned for saying "shut up" alone and trying to help your team in a meaningful manner. If you want to prove us wrong, post your chat logs.

Also a physical attack and verbal attack are very different riot has given the mute/ignore option as to not sit that and take a verbal beating

so in that regards whatever you say is against you as the company has given you a method as to nullify the chat

The fact of the matter is, riot claims it can't control what your four teammates do, yet they ask you to. They ask you to bring four other strangers together, as a team. Yet they don't understand that one of those four, 90% of the time, is trying to cook, or talk on the phone, or have a conversation, while playing league. Another one of those four, is just bad at the game, and you got lucky enough to be stuck with them on your team. Another of the four, is trolling on purpose, while his friend watches over his shoulder, and they laugh and smoke a bowl. The remaining member of the four, is actually trying, and is so tilted from the bullshit riot puts on your team everytime, that they give up. Everyone ends up salty, and riot doesn't give a shit, because they are getting rich. This game is broken. Completely, and utterly broken. That's why everyone is leaving. Google it. This game is losing players. Rapidly. Including me. I went from playing no less than 10 games a day....to...well..I haven't played a game of league in two weeks. Why would I? I know before I quene up what i'm going to get. Riot does too. I'm getting toxic, I'm getting immature kids, and I'm getting nothing done for reporting them.

Hey. Sorry to hear. I'm going to quit with the game as well cause i'm sick of this community and there rules. Every body can flame me and wish me death and have cancer and i can't say anything back. I even asked them to make a buttom where you can turn of your chat or give me chat restricts that will never end but they said we can't do anything to help you.... A few months later my friend gets banned for not communicate with the team cause he /muteall every singel game. They can't help you at all and if you mute them you still get banned. Stupid rule.

You don't. You won't get a ban for no communication. Multiple times confirmed by Riot.

If your friend had an empty reformcard, it means he got a manual ban for trolling or insulting in after / pre game chat.

Short answer. In real life if someone punches you and you punch back you get a fight. Riot wants you to focus on the game instead of bickering with someone who's behind a screen and has no feasable ways to hurt you. If you don't like the rules stop playing and find a game that suits your needs.

In real life if somebody punch you in the face you have the right to fight back. As long as you don't start first. And i can't focus at all when i'm in a team every game where my top, jungle and mid feeds. Of course you get upset because nobody is doing there job and i need to carry every singel game myself. I asked riot so many times to remove my chat or give me chat restrictions that will never go away but they didnt do anything to help me. And i will quit indeed you don't need to tell me that cause i'm sick of this community.

stop asking others for something you could do yourself first and foremost, if you have to ask the most likely result you will achieve will be the opposite of what you wanted anyway.
